Why are we thanking them for Lemonier?

Part of what the Niners got for trading down from the 33rd pick of the draft was used to trade up for Lemonier. So it wasn't exactly Tank, Lemonier & next year's pick; it was Tank, Next year's pick and the pick(s) used to trade up to get Lemonier.

I'm thanking Baalke even though he fucked up by taking Jenkins to begin with.

we are certainly happy to date, especially when most of us would've taken ONE 4th rounder for Alex?

but ya never know how these things turn out, maybe KC gets a Pro Bowl QB? not immediately this season, but sooner rather than later?

maybe Jenkins does pan out?

Same here. Even the best GMs miss every once in a while, but at least he was realistic. Some GMs might want to justify themselves & stick with a bust hoping he'll develop into something good, and that only hurts the team more.

I'll still be pissed whenever I look at the 2012 draft & see the names Cordy Glenn & Janoris Jenkins after AJ, but at least Baalke may have made up for it by getting Ian Williams as an UDFA.

LOL, Its pretty complicated...

The 49ers traded the first pick in the trade, moving back six spots in the second round in a deal with the Titans. That trade netted that new second, a seventh round pick and a third round pick in 2014. The 49ers used the second on Tank Carradine and packaged the acquired seventh in their move up in the third to acquire Corey Lemonier.

After that it gets a little hard to explain for me...
