Honestly I've heard through the grapevine that assistants don't really like working for Miles and that is a deterrent for attracting top coaching talent. They recruit like mofos so talent gets them really far but when it comes down to mega games and you really need to scheme LSU typically comes up short.

At some point you have to be innovative and not just on a fake field goal or punt. Sometimes you can't just line up against the other team and out muscle them.

A lack of QB talent hurts them a good bit also but that comes with the above and kids being attracted to offensives they find exciting.
