The year Saku came back from cancer the comeback player if the year was Tommy Maddox. Tommy Maddox who came back from sucking to have a good year. What adversity!

I am sure there are worse examples of ESPY silliness but I just remember that because I got in an argument with a Steeler fan on the old ESPN boards. It was civil because we got along, and it was fun. On one hand you have a player who was diagnosed with cancer (and not the good kind Larry) and he not only beat it but came back in that year and helped his team pull a big upset against a big rival in the playoffs and on the other hand you have a player who either sucked or underperformed his whole career who finally had a good year.

hahahah, eloco, i just like JUSTICE. i'm not gonna BS it most of the time. like the NHL awards last night. i pretty much agree with them all. i think everyone that won it deserved it. and i don't expect any hockey guys to win it these, but they should. especially the olympic moments. like the "Best Game" category. the other options were bleh. NCAA MBball final (exciting, yes, but not OT Gold Medal exciting) and the Twins/Tigers extra innings game. no matter what the category though, i'm voting HOCKEY!
