Schedule is favorable in the Big 12. Baylor, KSU, and Ok State all go to Norman. Only real away game that could catch the Sooners is vs TCU. OOC is Tenn, La Tech, and Tulsa. Does not seem to me to be a real easy schedule.

Although it is a tough conference, that's about as easy a schedule as you could ask for if you happen to be a Big 12 team.

Just seemed odd to call it an easy schedule given others on the list.

Yeah Iowa over Wisconsin is a head scratcher.

I disagree. Playing at Lubbock and Morgantown will be tougher. Regardless, that isn't an easy schedule.

Yeah Iowa over Wisconsin is a head scratcher.

rmilla did make a good point though. Wisconsin does play LSU in Houston (so it will most likely be a home game for LSU). Wisconsin also goes to Iowa this season.

What's probably going to be Iowa's toughest OOC game is either Iowa State or Pitt. What's probably going to be Iowa's toughest conference game is either Wisconsin or Nebraska, both are being played in Iowa City.

So, I do see how Iowa is above Wisconsin.

Yes those are all very good points.

An easy schedule and improved QB play could lead Iowa to playoff.

I know Iowa fans are excited about this up and coming season, but come on now with that comment........

The 2 times they made a BCS Bowl (Orange Bowl for both), the team was around what it is now. Except, their schedule this season seems easier. They were expected to be good, possibly Outback Bowl, and ended heading to Miami

But they have also had flop years as well with this kind of expectations as well.

I personally think next season will be the season for Iowa.

I remember those Orange Bowl teams, good squads. I actually thought that the Iowa team from a dozen or so years ago in particular was going to give USC everything they could handle. I was obviously wrong.

I don't mean any disrespect to Iowa fans because the schedule is easy and conducive for a run. I just think that the talent gap compared to the nation's top teams is just too great. And as far as 2015 is concerned who knows.

Pretty good list. The only things which really stood out and gave me pause is the following teams:

Iowa being ranked ahead of Wisconsin.
Auburn is up to #19.
Louisville being ranked #13.

I realize this is basically just a top 25 list, but there is no realistic way Washington ends up in the playoffs this year. I mean at least 14 teams would have to lose players in a place crash or bus accident for them to even reach the top 10.

I guess they are giving credit to Petersen and what he did at BSU, but brand new QB, new feature back, true freshmen at at least two defensive secondary spots and their schedule say it might come, but this won't be the year.

The real question is after losing a ton of talent, can Huskies overtake Oregon in Pac-12?

This is not a Top 25 rankings. This is a list of Top 25 teams with the easiest path with a possible chance.

Top 5 is basically the Big 5 Conference Champions have the most potential and those 5 are who they think have the best shot at winning the conference.

After that, it is basically who has the next easiest in their minds.

I am no Washington fan, but I think you're underestimating your team.

The Huskies have been getting better and better:

2010 - 6/6
2011 - 7/5
2012 - 7/5
2013 - 8/4

They already showed they can beat Stanford and USC. If they can get past Oregon, I can see them sneaking into the final four.

Isn't this basically a pre-season top 25 poll?

Hardly any of those teams have a real shot at the playoff. ND? Clemson? Kansas State? My own Gamecocks? No, no, no, and hell no.

Come on bro. Quit pissin in my cornflakes. :tsk:
