NFL Power Rankings Week 8 - National Football League - ESPN

Just thought that was interesting. Colts jump up to #2. Makes sense since they've beaten Denver, Seattle, and SF. The losses to Miami and San Diego seem to indicate they play to the level of their competition, which if you think about it shouldn't be an issue in the playoffs.

Still, not sure I'd rank Denver, Indy, and KC all over NO, Seattle and SF.

I guess the Chiefs have to be up there by default, but they haven't really played anyone. I'd have it as follows:

Seattle
Indy
Denver
NO
KC

Just my amateur opinion.

Cant go wrong either way, but I would move Denver down below the rest of the 1 loss teams and below Indy and SF of the 2 loss teams.

Their defense is a huge weakness. Looking at the top teams I would say their D is the worst position group of those 5 or 6 teams.....

I hate to admit it, but I think it likely that the Colts would lose to Seattle, SF and Denver at their place or a neutral site at this point. Particularly after the loss of Wayne. KC we have not played yet, so no opinion.

The first three teams I listed are far more complete and have superior rosters up and down the line, IMO.

Last year the NFC had the best teams according to ESPN power rankings and an AFC team won the SB.

BCS superbowl would have Chiefs vs Colts!

Seahawks would be stuck with the rose bowl going against the Saints

Broncos fiesta bowl vs the 49ers

...teams like Baltimore last year or the Giants in other years would be going to the Holiday bowl

GOOD THING these power rankings don't mean anything

True, but applying the BCS format to the NFL playoffs like you did is kind of fun. I like the idea of the Pats and the Ravens, for example, facing off in, say, the Chick Fillet Bowl.

At this point, the Ravens would be lucky to make the Family Dollar Bowl.

The last time ESPN's #1 team at the end of the season won the Super Bowl was in 2003, the Patriots.

Which tells me one thing... fuck being ESPN's #1 team, haha. Shit is worse than the Madden curse

Denial ain't just a river in Egypt is it.

Let's give the AFCN to the Bengals. Who would you put money on to beat out the Ravens for the 2nd WC spot? The Chargers? The Dolphins? The Jets?

Come on now...
