Elway the GM

Pretty remarkable what he has accomplished in his five years as an NFL GM. I'm sure everyone knows that.

Thought this thread would get at least some traction, but, of course, I am biased. Still, seems to me that even a general NFL fans would be impressed by what Elway has accomplished since taking over the Denver front office in 2011 of a team that went 4-12 the season before.

In five years with Elway at the helm the Broncos have won 64 games, five AFCW titles, two AFC titles, and a SB. There might have been at least one other GMs who built teams that accomplished more in their first five years on the job, but I'm not aware of one.

Very impressive what he has done. His detractors can certainly shut the fuck up. He built a deep, well rounded team. Love it...hope for the future too. Sign Brock (Tag Von) and this team can be better next year.

Maybe. I don't really know, but I might have to look that up. I think that Ozzie Newsome in Baltimore might be another potential challenger.

Schneider has a very similar record and probably has the best young QB in the league. I'd say he has done better.

I think he is capable of more (hope to hell). Don't need a super star with the D we are bringing back.

He saw his team lose thanks to an elite defense in Seattle two years ago and went out and focused on building a power house defense of his own. Smart man.

I was just poking fun. Elway obviously has a great resume and is likely the best GM in the league right now. But....

Eh, I pretty much hate the ranking QBs debates. Elway is in HOF as a QB. PFM will be there the first year that he is eligible. I'll leave it at that for now, while reveling in the Broncos third league title, two with Elway at QB and one with PFM.
