I would not vote for him if I had a say. His two superbowl rings are more of an indication of the talent he had around him than his own personal talent. I mean for Christ sake the guy has thrown for 20+ INTs 3 times in his career already. It is not easy to win when your QB turns the ball over that much. I'm not sure if this is true or not but I would say it is safe to assume no QB has thrown more INTs since 2005 than Eli Manning.

The fact that the Giants were able to win the Superbowl in 2007 despite Manning being tied for the NFL lead in INTs amazes me. Scary to think how good they would have been if Manning did not turn the ball over so much.

EDIT: I would not vote for him but he probably gets in. The 2 Superbowl rings, the accumulation of stats that comes with throwing the ball as much as he did, being a Manning and playing in a large media market pretty much guarantees him a spot in the HOF.

Name a QB with multiple SB rings who isn't in the hall of fame.

And no Jason Garrett doesn't count.

What does the SB have to do with his play?

SBs are team sport............This isn`t the NBA.

Jim Plunkett, for the same reason Eli won't make it... because he doesn't deserve it.

The brand equity from his last name, even if that equity wasn't his (e.g. Peyton and Archie) will give him an an edge he otherwise wouldn't have.

He would be the most mediocre QB to get in since Joe Namath. That's right, Joe Namath got in.

Can you think of another similarity between the two? Yes, they both played in New York.

If he's a San Diego Charger with the same resume he never makes it. That's just how the ball bounces and he's also Peyton's, Down syndrome brother.

Dudes a lock.

As much as I hate agreeing with a 49ers fan, this.

If Namath is in, Eli has a good shot at getting in.

These are differnt decades.............No way Eli gets in.

All sarcasm aside, I don't think he gets in either. Big Ben doesn't have a shot and I think he has had a better career than Eli so far.

This is the whole problem. He will get in but the question is, "is he worthy". The answer to that is a resounding no despite the rings and SB MVP's. His name, the market he's in and the Super-hype of modern sports gets him in and that is what is wrong with the HOF. It isn't about all-time great players. It's about media hype and the bullshit that the SB's have become over the years. They give out MVP's for the game to the QB by default because the people who pick it are too lazy to do anything else.

Namath was considered one of the best his first 5 years or so. Eli's never been that. Namath threw for more yards his 1st 5 years than any QB in history until Marino broke his record after all of the pass D rule changes and switch to 16 games. Plus the guarantee and biggest SB upset ever. He was sort of an NFL Ali. Then injuries to his legs took their toll and he was basically done at 27. Namath was a legend and he was damn good for a time. Eli is no Namath

Ben is a better QB and should make it in before DS ever makes it in. Ben has had a more productive career and was a bigger part of winning than Eli was.

Roethlisberger's had an amazing career, but I don't think he was a bigger part of winning than Eli. Eli played amazingly in the postseason. Like Flacco did last year.

Good QB, but he hasn't really had any years where you could say he was one of the best QBs in the league.
