Unless they are getting a Kyle Lowry type who their franchise also views as a not great contract.
Oh goodness - not so sure LBJ would have the patience for a guy like Lowry.

Yeah. Not Lowry specifically, but he was the first guy who popped into my head that might be on the trade block and could be cheap enough for the Cavs to acquire with pick 8 or 9 plus a couple contracts.

But I agree. Lowry is not the right fit.

I'd be a bit surprised if the Lakers sign him to a summer league deal. If they did, it would probably be in hopes of shutting the Lavar the hell up by showing once and for all that the only way Gelo gets close to the NBA is with whatever courtside tickets Lonzo gets him.

Ideally, the Lakers will just continue to ignore him.
I mean, SL guys literally play for free.

They get a free hotel room and like $100 per day for food.

So, I could see it.

Pelicans did the Same for Boogie's bro.

But, there is zero chance he gets one of those two way deals.

Quinn Cook shows you just how valuable those types of deals can be.

The Clippers actually found 2 guys via two way deals.

I think it all comes down to the pick, where it lands and what they do with it. I don't think Lebron is going to cast his lot with some rookie.

But, if they can package it and trade for a top level guy or even a couple of very good/dependable role players, he'll stay put.

I don't know. I think it depends on what the Cavs do with the pick. I doubt Lebron wants to depend on a rookie to help him get past the Warriors (or for that matter, a healthy Sixers or Celtics).

Now, if the Cavs can manage to trade that pick to land another top guy, then I think he stays.

My guess would be that, wherever he ends up, Lebron will want it to be his last stop. I also think that his preference would be to finish out his career in Cleveland.

But if he doesn't think the Cavs can get him the help he needs, he's gone.
in this draft?

youll be able to land a big time fucking stud if oyu get a top 3 pick!!!!

If you had a top 3 pick in this draft unless the Sixers or Celts got crazy you could trump their offers----

shit- a dark horse could be john wall even. you could get mccollum NO doubt.

Realistically though,

They have been exposed a bit by athletic teams like Boston and Indiana. They have very few desireable trade assets outside of the Brooklyn pick which they can't even trade until after the draft. That isn't a huge obstacle, but it is a complication worth noting.

Who can the Cavs package along with that pick? None of their current players, aside from maybe Love on an expiring deal are actually assets. They all take away from the value of the trade package.

That pick would have to hit 1 or 2, IMO to give the Cavs enough ammo to even discuss a trade for a star player.
for Kawhi and Wall etc...yes

but a McCollum or DeRozan - no. Kemba EASY....

Strong mutual interest..............and now James to Ok City:laugh3:

I have said all along the he would never play for Gilbert again, but they are actually number 2 on the list.

The Heat are a strong, strong #1 though.
Something meteoric will have to happen for him to leave next year.

Part of the Cavs plan with Miller was to further entice James.
James loves reliable shooters around him.

If the real reason the Cavs decided to not claim him was the 9 p.m. sudden back surgery, then someone needs to be fired there.

Maybe if Gilbert sold the team.
Every time you dream of James coming back, re read Gilbert's press release from the night James left.
I'm sure LeBron has parts of it memorized.

nothing "meteoric" just Mickey getting cheap.....

as long as Dan G. keeps writing the biggest checks in the league- the two will co-exist.

i think if they got a top 3 pick they might be able to convince the Wiz to blow it up since they arent going anywhere anyway, dont ya think? Would you give up Wall for a top 3 pick? id have to think youd say yes.....he doesnt have the balls to be a #1 but hed be a nice #2.

Explain.. He already has one title and until proven otherwise GS is good for another 2 titles at least or more. Durant will probably get FMVP in all of them

Wiggy still selling that Gilbert can outspend everybody...? :dhd:

If Gilbert keeps spending like he did on J.R. and Tristan, his hair will start falling out quicker then LeBrons.
He would have been much better served giving Griffin a few more million.

Tristan Thompson is expected to draw the start in Game 2.

Thompson pulled down 11 rebounds in Game 1 with eight points in 21 minutes. Coach Ty Lue said he's still "weighing" the decision, but cited Thompson's success against Al Horford in the past. In the nine minutes in which Horford and Thompson shared the floor in Game 1, Horford didn't have a single point or rebound.

So, he's supposed to check Horford?

Good luck.

hes al horford kryptonite lassy

If Tristan starts, who doesn't?
Hill?
My guess is coming off that game James will want the ball in his hands.

Horford has the range to draw TT away from the rim.
Baynes is also showing people he's a pretty decent player.

If the Cavs feel their solution is a ton more TT minutes, they're in trouble IMO.

good thing TT is one of the best bigs in the NBA away from the rim.
