The game was not fixed. If a game is fixed you would not want the game to be tied with 3 minutes left especially when the best player in the world plays on that team. The refs called cheap fouls on Lebron and that's all it was. I don't get why people watch basketball if they think it is fixed. I stopped watching wrestling once I found out it wasn't real. If this game was fixed, they.would've fouled out LeBron when indy went up 11 in the 4th.
And people need to learn how to move on. I was over game 5 soon as I woke up yesterday. It's in the past and there's nothing you can do or say that can change that result.
These "the games are fixed" conspiracy theorists crack me up. The amount of planning, secrecy, etc. that would be required in order to pull it off simply defies all logic. But then again, logic has never been a requirement for any conspiracy theory.
In a league that can't keep anything a secret, they're going to keep something of the magnitude of fixing games a secret? The NBA is a worldwide, multi-billion dollar industry. It would be amazingly stupid to put that at risk over a few games and a couple of points worth of t.v. ratings.
Also, considering that David Stern once said that from a ratings and revenue perspective, his dream matchup for the finals would be "the Lakers vs. the Lakers." Yet, he vetoed the CP3 trade and the league failed to ensure the Lakers landed a top 3 pick in the lottery like many thought they would.
