Nah Pacers never had a chance. they aren't a great team. they have 0 superstars. George is an above avg player, Hill is not a good PG and West is soft. Also throw in Hibbert giving nothing to this team.
Miami and Pacers will have a hard time to keep their team together. Maimi loses Mario and Cole.
Yea, but can we all agree that this was likely their best chance?
Agree about george. Media tries to make him something he isn't. He is a B+ player. Can't carry a team. Hibbert isn't much either. Stephenson is likely outta here. West isn't getting any better as age sets in. And George Hill is VASTLY overpaid.
So who rises as the biggest challenger in the east to Miami? Maybe Chicago if Melo goes there. But I don't think Melo helps them. He is a ME guy, not a team guy. Maybe Cleveland? I doubt it. Brooklyn likely won't be better.
Toronto and Washington are looking like the best bets in my opinion.
which again begs the question how will the big three handle the offseason. IMO if all three make 20 mil next year like they are scheduled too this team can't be competitive. Wade and Bosh each need to opt out to take less if they want to win.
Lots to think about this offseason in the east. But lets enjoy the rest of this series and potentially the finals first!
