Nah Pacers never had a chance. they aren't a great team. they have 0 superstars. George is an above avg player, Hill is not a good PG and West is soft. Also throw in Hibbert giving nothing to this team.

Miami and Pacers will have a hard time to keep their team together. Maimi loses Mario and Cole.

Yea, but can we all agree that this was likely their best chance?

Agree about george. Media tries to make him something he isn't. He is a B+ player. Can't carry a team. Hibbert isn't much either. Stephenson is likely outta here. West isn't getting any better as age sets in. And George Hill is VASTLY overpaid.

So who rises as the biggest challenger in the east to Miami? Maybe Chicago if Melo goes there. But I don't think Melo helps them. He is a ME guy, not a team guy. Maybe Cleveland? I doubt it. Brooklyn likely won't be better.

Toronto and Washington are looking like the best bets in my opinion.

which again begs the question how will the big three handle the offseason. IMO if all three make 20 mil next year like they are scheduled too this team can't be competitive. Wade and Bosh each need to opt out to take less if they want to win.

Lots to think about this offseason in the east. But lets enjoy the rest of this series and potentially the finals first!

Ok.

Back to serious content. Is this the pacers best chance to bring down the heat?

Stephenson and turner both free agents. Will they resign lance and go over the luxury tax?

I actually want real input on this guys. I talked about it 10 pages or so ago and got no comments.

It'll be interesting to see. This pacers team without lance will have some serious issues I think

It'll be interesting, because Stephenson will command a decent pay day. No way Indiana can give him that without going over the luxury. What's killing the Pacers is Hibbert's contract. They got West and Paul George's contract right. They're probably going to re-sign Turner for cheap and let Stephenson walk.

This Miami team has the most Depth I ever saw. its crazy how a team has this much depth when no one else in the NBA has this kind of Depth or close to it.

Think about it they have 3 players that would start on some teams(or be a nice 6th or 7th) that aren't even playing in this game with Anderson, Battier and Beasley. Crazy.

I'll figure that when his agent looks at other players on the pacers he'll want 10-12 which in my opinion is WAY too much.

But if George HIll is making 8 and West is making 12 then its hard for stephenson not to make 12ish.

He has more value to the pacers than most teams. They can't afford to lose him. But Im not sure they can afford to keep him either.

None of them would start on any playoff team. Maybe. MAYBE. anderson. Battier is dead. Beasley is a bum

I disagree. Atlanta, Bobcats, Portland and Dallas would be able to use them. Either way they would be able to start on some teams or at least be a 6th or 7th option.

Heat are getting complacent now. This reminds me of game 2 in the 2011 Finals.
