Yes on the black. It pixels less and delivers better contrast. Have a 75 Samsung 4k UHD.What TV do you have and does it have HDR? Depending on when you purchased, not all 4K TV's have HDR and it's the HDR part of the broadcast here which is more important than the 4K.
If you put a 1080p and a 4K (2160p) TV side by side, you would need to sit like 2-3 feet away from them for your eyes to really discern the difference in resolutions. However, the much bigger differences in overall picture quality come with HDR which makes colors a lot richer, blacks deeper, brighter highlights, and improves contrast and sharpness. But HDR is only available on 4K TVs these days.
