What kind of contractual baggage comes with this guy?

Just my opinion here, but if Desean couldn't get on the same page as chip, then I doubt anyone would be able to deal w his baggage. I doubt Desean is willing to restructure his 10.5 million per. Heck he was bitching about that as well. The situation sucks. Hopefully the team will recover production wise, in the long run.

I dont know about that. From my perspective chips kinda a hard ass. He's no Belichick, but he's "my way or the highway" and mr. jackson,,,,,heres the highway.

I could be very wrong on this but once he's released he signs a brand new contract with whatever his next team is.

The Eagles on the other hand are on on the hook for 6 million dollars so Jax will still get that money from them and than whatever money he signs with his new team.

Yup.. Eagles are on the hook for 6 million dead money, which means Jackson really must have some serious baggage. The Eagles don't throw money away like that.

I'm sure most of you read this, but it def raises concerns. If true, then I'm glad that the eagles showed him the highway.
DeSean Jackson's gang connections troubling to Eagles | NJ.com

I think it raises concerns but I don't think Jackson is the next Aaron Hernandez either.

He strikes me as the type that hangs around and claims gang banging but isn't deeply involved in it. It's still concerning because you never know when one of his "buddies" needs a favor and Jackson could find himself in trouble aiding in some illegal activities.

this is true a lot of people missed this. The eagles gave his man his 10.5mil contract the season prior and was going into this offseason asking for a new contract saying he out played his old one. so if you think 10mil is a lot of money he is going to be asking for more when trying to sign him.

he isnt in any trouble with the league or facing any suspension he will be asking for a lot of money when someone contacts him

No Wazzu you got it backwards, its Jax's issues, this has nothing to do with Chipper, I've watched Chip try time and time again to talk this kid down everytime he comes to the sideline when he's all up in arms cause he's not getting the ball ( speculation on my part watching from a TV screen) but its pretty clear when this goes on and he's not involved in the play, hell there was a game last year in got into with one of his teammates during a game on the sideline....

It's the right move on the Eagles, this has been brewing for a while now and its time for both to move on...

don't know what all the teams cap situations are, but what about the Vikings?
With teams loading up to stop AD, a speedster like D-Jax could be pretty good for the vikes.

Fuc that clown...Vikes get JF with the #8 and follow it with a 2nd rounder like WR Brandin Cooks.

Let's recap...

1st pick..Heisman winnah
2nd pick..Biletinkoff winnah

Yeah that'll do

I really don't see Jackson taking a lesser deal unless he has no other options. He just doesn't come off as the type of person who would take far less money on a short contract just to play for a winning team. The Panthers have only $1.6 mil in cap space. I don't see any of the current SB contender teams willing to to take a risk on him.

With that being said, I think the likely destination for Jackson is either NYJ or OAK.

Seahawks won't sign him as we got Harvin.
SF would trip over their dicks to sign him because they're desperate for a speed WR, but they don't have the cap space.

But I wonder if he's truly rolling with gangbangers then his contract demands are going to get pushed way down. Not to mention the money for WRs was way down this year too.

Going to be very interesting to see where he ends up.

With PC's ties to reach out programs in LA against gang violence, I don't see the Seahawks taking that chance.
