Eagles O-Line...are they really a top unit year in/year out?

That's the funny thing. Most Eagles fans have concerns about our OL and always have. But for a long time we keep reading about how we have one of the best. For some years, THE BEST. And we are always like

The thing about Philly is that they have had good depth on the lines. That's really been the difference between the Eagles and Cowboys to be honest. Dallas has had some great front-line starters on offense, but the depth has been lacking, and it has gotten exposed when there have been injuries. Philly won a Super Bowl not just with Foles at QB, but Vaitai at LT. That depth has been huge.

Not so sure about that. I won't pretend to know you backups that well, but I'd be surprised if Dallas hasn't built better depth on the OL than Philly. If you count your Rookie we get to count ours. Last year we had a lot of injuries including to FAs we brought in that we had to cut. Our Center missed the entire year and our LT was hurt all year and we cycled through guys at LG. We may cut a Guard like Su'a Filo and he may get picked up and start for another team. Our backup Center proved he can be a starter in this league. Our Swing Tackle won a SB as a LT. Part of why our OL sucked early last year was bringing in an OL coach that tried to change everything about the technique we used. After he was fired and Columbo went back to what we had done successfully the OL play (even the backups) got much better. I can't say we have better depth, but I'd be very surprised if more than a few teams had better depth than us going into 2019

DL very similar for Dallas. They are talking about Gregory coming back. Our DL depth would be Gregory, Hill (2nd rounder), Crawford, Taco, Covington from Hou, Hyder from Det, etc. Some of those could start elsewhere. Throw in Armstrong who has been very impressive. One thing Dallas has done well is build up the depth over prior years IMO.

Maybe it is different for Dallas now, but clearly the o-line depth was not there over the past several years, which is why Adrian Clayborn abused Chaz Green, that scrub backup you had, for six sacks, etc.
