Yeah, he played extremely well in limited time as a 4-3 DE pass rush guy 2 years ago, not so much as a 3-4 OLB last year. I would've thought someone would've offered the Eagles something for him. I know the rumors were they offered him and a pick for Dion Jordan but no way Miami is trading Jordan this year (something like a $16M cap hit due to the signing bonus if he leaves)

I becoming more and more sold on this current regime. The Marcus Smith pick still leaves me uncertain, but there was definitely a lack of pass rushers this draft so grabbing someone who can do it makes sense. I watched a film of a game of his against Rutgers where he was highlighted and it seemed he was very blockable. Hopefully Eagles work on that aspect. The rest of the draft has gone very well though. 2 receivers who were productive in college and bring what Chip wants to the offense. Then get a hybrid CB/S with 4.4 speed. As a whole they could've done much much worse.

Adam Shefter in ESPN chat said this "For Bryce Brown, Eagles are getting back a conditional 4th-round pick in 2015 that can be a 3rd in 2016, per source."

Guess we will see when it is finalized.

Either way though, getting at a minimum a 4th rounder for a 7th rounder who saw sparse playing time is awesome.

Eagles draft another Oregon player. This time a DE. Albeit he is 6'6 280

Yep. Chip loves big guys and that's exactly who is getting. I'm still anxious to see this mammoth former Army Ranger on the field. At the very least he can run conditional drills for our DL and OL. Our guys should be the best conditioned team in the NFL come start of the season.
