Dwayne Haskins Entering Draft

Ohio State QB Dwayne Haskins has announced he will forego his final two years of eligibility and enter the NFL draft.

Haskins' decision was fully expected. He slots in as arguably the top quarterback available in this year's draft. Haskins had an absolutely monster 2018 for the Buckeyes, completing 70 percent of his passes while averaging 9.1 yards per attempt. He posted a stunning 50:8 TD:INT ratio.

Sure would like to pair Haskins with Guice for years to come. Who cares about other holes. This team isn't going anywhere for the foreseeable future. At least watching these two would be, well, actually worth watching.

This is the exact type of player that teams like Washington and Cleveland have been burned on for decades. The kid had a great year. But it is only one year and he is only a sophomore. Huge red flags should be waving about him. Just understand that there is a huge risk with using your 1st on a player with so little experience. Odds are greater that he is a bust than he becomes a star. And we need our 1st round pick to be a star, guaranteed. Sorry, but I will have to pass in the 1st.

haskins is loaded with talent, could of used an extra year to refine.

BUt theres no way you pass up that money and almost sure thing of being the first qb off the board. hes gonna have to bye abysmal in predraft works, and someone else to really go nuts to fall off the #1 pedestal. Good move by him. Some team will have a year or two of growing pains because of coming early i think. But if you can keep im clean, since hes very immobile, hes get a cannon an is accurate as can be

Yup. I do at this point. There just isn't enough tape on him. He needs at least one more year for me to feel comfortable that he has what it takes to become a franchise QB in the NFL. We are not in a position to miss on this 1st pick. We need a talented young player that comes cheap and is, beyond a reasonable doubt, going to be pro bowl level player taken with that 1st pick. I can't say with any certainty that Haskins can be that at this point. I pass.

Thanks for the record setting year Dwayne. I'll be rooting for him @ the next level. The only downside I can see right now is his limited college playing experience. Hope he's ready.
