No way I trade Dunn for an old Dragic. I like the move to land Dragic but Dunn is too much to give up. Minn isn't that 1 player away move so I wouldn't do this.

Dragic isn't that old though. Just turned 30 in May. I agree with your last sentence though. From a Minnesota perspective, I would not do it because they're not one player away

Minny doesn't need Dragic. They have enough scoring. They need defensive minded vets or at the very least, vets that can play a couple of positions that have been through some wars. They need to dump Rubio for any vets they can get back. Problem is, the market for Rubio is bone dry. Nearly every team has a PG and the ones that might be interested in Rubio have nothing to offer Minny

I am all for Rubio getting traded. Thibs has moved him off the ball taking away all his advantages and maximizing his weakness.

I just hope Rubio ends up on a team that will use him correctly. Spurs would be perfect but that seems unlikely.

No way Minny gives up their 1st rounder in this class unless it's for a star in a package deal for a someone like Boogie or something, which won't happen. Especially with how bad they've been to start the year.

Of they fall out of the top 10 then the 1st rounder belongs to the hawks......for adrian Payne.

Did he learn how to shoot yet?

Nope, but he does have a long history of the offense being far more efficient when he is on the floor.

He would be terrible at "horse" though

I think he would be nice for a solid playoffs team who needs help at that position....Even in a 6th man role

I agree. Rubio's entire skill set is based on making the player around him better, so the better talent around him the more valuable his skills are. We have just never seen him on a team with talent.

It is there now, but too young, by the time Wiggins and Towns are ready he will be gone.

That is just simply not true, if you look at box scores at the end of the night he is nearly always at the bottom of the +/- stat. When defenses do not have to defend your shot it makes it that much more difficult to put together a good offense. He is not the player we all thought we were getting and it's time to move him for whatever we can get in return and he can take Glen Taylor with him!

For Rubio's career his on/off splits for offensive rating is is +4.6, while opposing team es rating is -3.4.

It is a net rating of +8. Rubio (before Thibs) is a net positive on both side of the ball. All basketball is made layups though. The rest of basketball is not a real thing.

Not sure why anyone would want to trade for Rubio unless you don't have a PG on the roster
Mannix was talking about how Rubio could really help Philly out, especially when Simmons comes back. I think it could work.

Rubio -72 this season in 23 games which if averaged out is a touch over -3per game. Hard for me to buy he's a +8 for his career. 15 of his 23 games he's negative. He's never had better players around him and he's still -72 on the season.

A career .368 shooter and .313 from three. We could go back and forth about this for years but the fact is he is average at best and if the Wolves are to take the next step and be considered a real threat he needs to go. I am in no way saying Dunn is the answer but we have all seen it's obvious Rubio isn't...

Thibs us playing Rubio off the ball. Taking away his best skills and maximizing his worst.

I am not arguing at all that Rubio has been worse this year, but this year is mostly on Thibs. His failure to put any players in a position to succeed is the #1 reason they are under achieving.

And the plus 8 is offensive rating not plus minus.

And this year is on/off offensive rating is -9. So we agree this year Rubio is way below his standards, it is just more on Thibs IMO

I absolutely agree if you are gonna play Rubio off the ball he shouldn't even be playing, his only attributes are his vision and passing ability.
