In Colorado, tackle Zeth Ramsey of Colorado-Mesa measured 6060, 302 pounds, completed 25 on the bench, ran the forty in 5.11 seconds and posted a respectable 30.5-inch vertical jump and 9-8 broad jump. After the workout, he spent time with the Cincinnati Bengals, New York Jets, Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints.

Quentin Gause of Rutgers built a buzz about himself with his performance and one local AFC East team told me he was the best player in attendance at the pro day. After the workout, Gause met with the Detroit Lions, Denver Broncos, Tampa Bay Bucs, Cincinnati Bengals, Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants. He has three official visits set up.

Numbers are still coming in, but from what I've been told, it was a good workout for massive lineman Stephane Nembot.

The offensive tackle, who measured 6-6 and 322 pounds at the Combine, timed 5.19 in the 40 (.2 better than Indianapolis), 4.82 in the short shuttle and 7.88 in the 3-cone. I'm told he was impressive during drills.

Nembot had private interviews with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals, who also sent an offensive line coach to the workout.

The workout is still going on in Norman, but results are beginning to leak out.

Cornerback Zack Sanchez, who did not run at the Combine due to a strained hamstring, timed under 4.5 in the 40. Times passed on to me ranged from a low of 4.44 to 4.49. The 40 time is a solid mark for Sanchez, who weighed in at 185 pounds at the combine. The cornerback met with the Cincinnati Bengals and San Francisco 49ers yesterday.

Former Sooner receiver Ryan Broyles worked out for scouts and ran the 40 in times of 4.50 and 4.51.

Here's the lowdown on why linebacker Josh Forrest ran so much faster today at pro day as compared to his combine workout:

Immediately after the combine, I tweeted safety Darian Thompson was sick in Indianapolis, which factored into his poor workout on Monday. I've since been told it was not just confined to Thompson as multiple players as well as scouts, coaches and other NFL team personnel were afflicted with various stomach flus and viruses.

Amongst them were Utah defensive end Jason Fanaika, as well as Forrest.

It was recommended to Forrest on Saturday evening, the night before his workout, he not run for the 40, but he went ahead and did so anyway. I'm told right now the Carolina Panthers and Cincinnati Bengals are showing strong interest in the linebacker.

I just realized I posted all of those in the wrong thread. Should all be in a draft thread, not free agency thread.

North Carolina Central corner Ryan Smith, another Combine invitee, sat on his marks from Indianapolis, as he's dealing with a mild groin strain, but participated in position drills.

The New York Jets, Detroit Lions and Cincinnati Bengals all sent position coaches to watch him work out, and Smith interviewed with the Jets before pro day.

Treadwell ran in the mid-4.6's at the Ole Miss pro day today. It was expected.

Don't even waste a 3rd Rd pick on this guy, who can be covered by a DE.

Straightline speed is vastly over-rated.

I'm more interested in how he does in the short shuttle/cones. It's not often WR's run 40 yards straight in a line to catch a ball. Explosion off the line, separation from the DB, and ability to cut in/out and make the tough catches are all attributes that trump straightline speed in my book.

4.6 compared to 4.4 isn't terrible if you can show the ability to break in/out of cuts and separate at the LOS.

Granted, I have no clue if he can do that, but I think the 40 yard dash is vastly over-rated and rather out-dated.

With Free Agency over I see only three weak positions on the team.

Bodine has not matured enough after two years. There's still plenty of time for him to add strength and skill, but as good as Alexander has been at developing Tackles, he's been equally poor at developing Centers. I'm of the belief that we either need to trade for someone who has finished Top-7 multiple times with another club, or they have to draft a pedigree and use a 1st Round pick on a Center, and then they'll have a Pouncey-type to plug in Day 1, who'll develop in spite of Alexander's teachings.

Peko has been bad for years. Fortunately, Sims developed elsewhere and came back a better NT (1-technique). Like Centers (and it's not a coincidence that they line up opposite each other), the Bengals have not been able to develop NT's. Again, I feel that they must either trade for one, or else draft one very high. 2nd Round attempts haven't worked, and pedigree NT's aren't found generally in the bottom third of the 1st Round, either, where the Bengals have picked from for many a year now. They'll need to trade up 10 picks in the 1st, something they have never done, so I can expect this NT merry-go-round to continue for a very long time as we should continue to pick in the bottom third of the first for years to come. When it comes to 1-technique DT's, most teams don't feel that position is worth of a Top-15 selection, so it's possible that one could slide to the Bengals like Malcolm Brown did last year (whom they passed on to take Ogbuehi), so it's not out of the question that they could get a pedigree one without moving up 10 picks.

The last weak position I see on the team is Starting CB. Regardless of what any Bengal homer thinks, Dre has sucked since he's been in the league. He's now on a prove-it contract...his option year having been picked up, but no talk of extension on the horizon. The answer is on the team in Dennard, as I think he'll be a Top-10 CB for many years. But, this year he'll spend all of it both rehabbing his injury and learning his craft (glad to have Kevin Coyle back). But, this year there is no one who is expected to produce at an average clip opposite Adam Jones. It would be prudent to draft Jones' replacement early in this draft. If that CB drafted isn't Jones' replacement, he could be Dre's replacement.

So, when BPA comes up in the first, hopefully, it is a C or a CB, for even if it is a DT, the pick is so low that the value for a C or a CB would trump the value a BPA NT would bring.

The Bengals have proved they can find a quality WR, SS, ad MLB in later rounds and develop him.

South Carolina State

The South Carolina State pro day got a late start, as teams hustled over from the South Carolina pro day, which ran over time.

Defensive line coaches from the Philadelphia Eagles, Tennessee Titans, Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals put Javon Hargrave through a workout which lasted almost 45 minutes. Hargrave looked good, displaying terrific quickness, explosion and movement skills. He met individually with all the above mentioned teams.

This is my final mock for the Bengals:

1st Rd: Ole Miss' Robert Nkemdiche (my first choice all along last month and I've come full circle). I think the Bengals will have him rated in their top-15 players and be the BPA for them when their pick comes up.

Then either Fuller or Bernard in the 2nd.

From Rotoworld with Rotoworld comments:

German WR Moritz Boehringer turned in impressive testing results while participating in the Florida Atlantic Pro Day on Thursday.

Boehringer, himself, was not a member of the Florida Atlantic team, but the Gemran standout used its Pro Day to make his case to the NFL. Among the sterling numbers Boehringer posted on Thursday, a 4.41-second 40-yard dash time, 39-inch vertical jump, 10-foot-11 broad jump and an absolutely silly 6.64 seconds in the three-cone drill. With the latter event, NFL.com's Andy Feneion wrote that it had "scouts on the ground doing double-takes at their stopwatches and laughing." The 6-foot-4, 225-pound wideout played in the GFL and was named the German Football League Rookie of the Year in 2015 after catching 70 passes for 1,461 yards and 16 touchdowns. Said Boehringer of his Pro Day performance, "I came here today knowing what I needed to do. But I didn't realize there was going to be so many people watching me." The level of competition in the GFL is a step below that of college ball, making his a difficult draft projection.

If we want a CB, Kendall Fuller will be available when we pick, and wouldn't really be a stretch.

Peko has sucked for a while, but we can probably win with or without him for another year. I'd like a playmaking DT. Not blow a pick on a Margus Hunt.

Ckhokie wants us to pick a Hokie.

Kramer wants us to pick a Buckeye.

I'm shocked.

A gay buckeye, at that. Allegedly.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.
