Ok, can anybody give me a straight answer open Lakers draft status?

Online info is all over the place. 3 mock drafts have us picking between 6-13; one site says we simply own a first round pick but no 2nd round pick - but 2 mock drafts have us picking in 2nd round. One site says we don't get a 1st round pick because it transfers.

Wtf?

Pretty sure the Lakers have 1 first round pick. By CBA rules, they aren't allowed to trade it because they've traded away other first round picks (there's a rule saying you can't trade picks for x amount of consecutive years). No clue on the status of 2nd round picks though

No second rd pick this year. No first next

Those and last years first were traded for Steve Trash

Lakers after this season have a 1st round draft pick, that's why #TeamTank is in full effect now

It's also important to note that the Lakers do not own a first-round draft pick again until 2016. Their 2014 second round draft pick belongs to the Phoenix Suns, their 2015 first round draft pick belongs to the Suns, and their 2015 second round draft pick belongs to the Orlando Magic. This is the Lakers one chance to add a franchise player at a bargain. :10:

That is right LALakersBoy. This is what is holding up the Gasbag for Bynum trade. The Lakers want at least one draft pick if not a pick and a player. Cleveland wants a straight up deal-Gasbag for Bynum. They are still talking according to a number of media outlets. The Lakers want at least one pick because we have holes in our picks starting in 2014 with no second rounder, next year no first or second rounder, and not until 2016 do we get our full complement of picks again.

Good to know. Mocks that I am seeing are saying we may have a chance at the guard from Australia or maybe even Smart from okie state.
