this could be fun

Renaud Lavoie ‏@RenLavoieRDS 1m
Bruins are really active right now. Tyler Seguin is one of the players that could be traded. Lightning is one of many teams in the mix.

Elliotte Friedman ‏@FriedgeHNIC 53s
Been in New Jersey for half a day. I think everyone in the NHL is going to be traded. It's crazy.

Nino & the 15th pick for Seguin!! Get it done Garth!!

Teams calling about big namers like Seguin, Perron, Plekanec, Cammalleri, Ryan, Vanek, Gagner, Hemsky, Versteeg, E Kane, Gardiner, Del Zotto

*drools*

I don't consider Perron, Gagner, Gardiner, Del Zotto or Hemsky to be big names. Heck I don't think Cammalleri is a big name anymore.

You know if I had a choice of Letang or Pietrangelo, I'd take former Blues defenseman for $7 million Alex.

celebrityjeopardysnl.jpg

So would I dash. Actually for me it wouldn't be close. I'd take Alex in a heartbeat over Letang.

Those aren't chumps though. I'd agree that Hemsky isn't a big name, but the others have done pretty well. Between that and the fight for high draft picks, could be pretty interesting.

I'm an Isles fan. The owner of my favorite team has made sure I have low expectations.

I thought that last season was a great success for them to build off. I also think the move to Brooklyn will be equally as exciting. that team has a good future now. I wouldnt be pulling out the pity me isles fan card now...

just wait till you get LUONGO....

Boston Bruins forwards Tyler Seguin and Nathan Horton have emerged as intriguing names to watch with the clock ticking down before the 2013 NHL Draft.

Keep tabs on all the trade, free agent and draft news with TSN's Hockey Insiders all the way through to Sunday's NHL Draft in New Jersey.

2:13pm et - Told Mark Fraser got QO from the Toronto Maple Leafs on a 2 way Qualifier and will not accept - Aaron Ward

2:05pm et - Lecavalier is here, he'll be in that meeting with the Stars, FYI. Lecavalier camp meeting with other teams today as well... - Pierre LeBrun

2:03pm et - Dallas Stars meeting with Lecavalier camp later today. Don't sleep on Dallas in this one. They're keen on him. - LeBrun

1:35pm et: Nathan Horton has informed Boston he's moving on and exploring UFA. His UFA rights are now available in trade. - Bob McKenzie

12:39pm et: Not 100 per cent yet but looks like Nathan Horton will NOT be back with BOS. B's talking trade and Tyler Seguin's name has been discussed. - McKenzie

11:05am et: Pens GM Ray Shero and Kris Letang's agent Kent Hughes slated to meet this afternoon... One last chance to find common ground? - LeBrun

10:58am et: LIke many teams, Habs would like to move up in first round. They have three second-round picks... May wait until draft commences to make their move. - LeBrun

10:48am et: The Oilers continue to push hard on potential deals. Sources say [Edmonton] is aggressively after [Braydon] Cobourn. - Darren Dreger

8:57am et: It's getting interesting. [Two] sources say Corey Schneider is in play. 1st and a prospect part of asking price. Suspect Oilers in on talks. - Dreger

I thought they had a great season. However, I want to see them do it for a full 82 games before I really believe this team is legit. I'll gladly take Luongo if it means the Canucks will be buying out Dipietro & getting virtually nothing else in return.:D:

Hockey Prospectus has Zykov the last pick in the first round. Wasn't there talk of him being a dark horse to move way up? Like 10-15...

And if Wennberg is on the board and the Jackets pick Skinamarinkidink at 14, there will be blood.

Tomorrow is going to be the best day ever

I've been feeling that way for a while :)

Saw a few interesting numbers on NHL network. Most notable being Ottawa with 17 players signed and 22m in space. Not counting Alfie, but still.

Lecavlier - Spezza - Briere?

Oh, and Jarmo. Peter Regin is a UFA. Call Him.

lol we may as well buyout Luongo (although I dont know who would be cheaper)

yeah 82 is a different story. I would like to have seen last years leafs in 82 as well see if they could have held that together....

I think the Canucks would save about 3M. If they trade Schneider instead Luongo & Torts will be great for the Vancouver media to talk about.

Do you really think after all the crap that's gone on Gillis will actually trade Schneider instead?
