I think most people think they'll draft Kyler Murray regardless, based on the merits of Murray only.

Suggs is 36 years old, so Az is likely giving him a one year deal? Or maybe it includes him making the team, similar to what we did with Attaochu? Even without Murray, this wouldn't be viewed as filling their ER spot.

Draft or young player FA , or trade, while keeping cost down, healthy, productive without over drafting or paying are recent problems. Still teaching and addressing system needs!!

Every NFL team tries to do this, but the trick is being able to do it.

IMO this all takes a little luck too.

That's what I'd guess...all the contract details for the signed FA's will be released tomorrow so we'll find out then.

The Giants are now in full rebuild mode, and will no doubt be looking for a QB. The LEO/edge rusher position with Dee Ford has been filled. A chance SF can really turn the screws on NY?

If i'm the Giants, i'd just try to get ahead of Tampa Bay, maybe? Yes, you're taking a chance someone else doesn't jump you, but why go higher to the 49ers and give up a LOT more? The ODDS are the teams behind you can't afford to jump up to #2.

Because QB's make everyone insane....and teams will do crazy things to ensure they get their guy. SF, in the position they're in, clearly know this....and it ain't a charity. I'd say...if the Giants want to hear the tune, they gotta pay the fiddler.

Yes i get the urgency for a QB, but after the Giants who is the next team 'desperate' for a QB?

You might be going down to #12 or 13? They're too far back to afford No. 2. So if I'm the Giants, I'm playing the odds and not trading up.

Realistically....I don't think it would be a screw up if he took either player. I mean....most Niner fans want Bosa, but QW is nearly right there with him.

So if they stood and picked with the #2....what would be the players you would say were the good choices....or were not screw ups? Bosa I assume has to be one? QW? Anybody else?

I think most agree....Bosa or QW are the only ones worthy. Some think Allen, but as of now, I can only see him in a small trade back.

Yeah I agree. I would hope that picking up Ford would smother any thought of bypassing QW if Bosa is gone for Allen.
I do like Allen as well.
