I hope the best for DPE in his recovery.
I don't mean to hijack this thread guys but here goes. Some of you may know my oldest daughter is a Class A high school head volleyball coach. One of her players, a 3 year starter will not be playing much her senior season as she was diagnosed with hodgkin's lymphoma. The cancer and treatment has taken it's toll on the player so I hope you guys say a prayer for her quick recovery from the illness.
Chuckster, I think the linebacker corps is loaded with young players, I would assume Nebraska is now building the depth in practice - I guess we will see, but I didn't like the way Blo built depth during his tenure. Is there another Lavonte David in the making?^^if I may ask, using that logic, why are none of our LBs out for extended time? We have no depth there, Bando and Rose-Ivey are the only guys that anyone knows anything about so you can bet the other 2 or 3 scholly LBs we have are "getting run in to the ground"....
Everyone knows why the WR's are plagued with injuries right?
Mike Riley is running them ragged. When they're tired, that's when the injuries happen.
Mike dismissed 3 viable division 1 options at receiver during the offseason so we don't have enough bodies in camp to keep the rotation fresh.
Thus running DPE and co into the ground.
I'm convinced HCMR is to blame and it's another mark against him in my book. He should know better by now.
