rough day for Heliot.
Gotta think Bishop is just about at the end of the line. Too bad, I had hopes.

Heliot Ramos's numbers this year are not bad He was on a hot streak about a week ago. An 0-fer with 4 strike outs don't mean he is at an end. He may never make it but it is an overstatement to use one bad game to say he is washed at his age.
He said Ramos had a bad day. He also said BISHOP is likely done. Two distinct statements about two different players.Heliot Ramos's numbers this year are not bad He was on a hot streak about a week ago. An 0-fer with 4 strike outs don't mean he is at an end. I would think Bishop has this year to turn things around. He did not play at all last year and played only 85 games the year before in high A ball (hitting not very well there). I would imagine that there is some rust, along with the fact that he has yet to play at the AA level. The roster assignment was very aggressive. He said Ramos had a bad day. I would trade that Tinkerbelle, White, for Bishop’s brother (Braden) right now…I would think Bishop has this year to turn things around. Going back to tzill's statement about the two, I may have accidentally set off the controversy about Ramos. I didn't know what tzill was referring to about Ramos, so I responded with question marks. I didn't know if I missed some news on him.
I do find it interesting the parallels between Ramos and Bishop. Both are 1st round pick outfielders who have stalled in their development. Both also have older brothers who've made brief big league appearances and who both played a year in the Giants' org.
nobody is saying he was washed. My reference was to Bishop, who seems to be at the end of the rope.Heliot Ramos's numbers this year are not bad He was on a hot streak about a week ago. And here I was thinking I'd lost the art of the English language. No one is saying Ramos is washed. He is having a very good season. And given the struggles of an oft-injured Slater, Ramos would normally be expected to be called up. tzill's comment was simply that Ramos had a rough day. There is nothing about his career being over nor on the decline.

This part of the churn is a bit normal. All teams seem to grab guys who've had some big league experience throughout the season. Don't always understand the signings but sometimes they work out.The San Francisco Giants have bolstered their pitching staff by signing two experienced pitchers, Raymond Burgos and Kyle Cody, to minor league contracts, according to the team’s latest transaction records.
On another note, rumors that the team is looking to cut ties with Jelly. Mason Black time?
No hate from me, but I am done with the dude. Outside of his height, what is special about about him?The San Francisco Giants have bolstered their pitching staff by signing two experienced pitchers, Raymond Burgos and Kyle Cody, to minor league contracts, according to the team’s latest transaction records.

Hmm, I thought his numbers are worse than they are. SSS but 2024 at the big league level has him throwing 6 innings, giving up 5 hits, walking 1 batter, allowing in 3 runs and striking out 3 batters. His big problem has been the long ball - 2 of the 5 hits allowed are home runs. His strikeout rate is low but he's not been that bad overall. I actually hope they give him a little more time before jettisoning him. He's showing improvement. No hate from me, but I am done with the dude. Outside of his height, what is special about about him?
Given that they will need a roster spot for Black, and no injuries, who do you cut?Hmm, I thought his numbers are worse than they are.
