Reggie Crawford was assigned to Richmond. That’s a SUPER aggressive placement for a kid as raw as he is. Good sign on the surface.

Not even remembering, if posted here, Bart being traded for Austin Strickland can't find any milb info. College stats are pedestrian and hasn't played any in organized ball at least this year. Possibly extended Spring or other type situation. Could he be the Proverbial Injured Pitcher I speculated that Bart would be traded for in an earlier post of mine? If so that would be kinda funny seeing as he doesn't come with any rep.

That may be true but if not injured he isn't an 18 year old highschool guy, he played three years in in College anyone would expect him to start playing right away. Would a three years College player go to instructional assignment? We don't have any answers and I would think if a team trades a former high first round player that we should hear something about that player and his progress at some point. I can't think of a reason besides injury for the silence. I don't think so, but sweeping under the rug a modest return for a former high pick could be a reason, though his DFA at a point after other teams had made their rosters, so getting him through, was good idea, but it would still limit any return. Kinda sad as he a a few bright moments and I still had some hope he would show it with the Giants. I still think he could blossom in Pittsburgh.
