Thanks for sharing. Considering the nature of the draft, it would have been nice if the author included the non-drafted free agents as well. Here they are:
Carter Williams, of - Not assigned to a roster. Probably starting in the AZL later this month.
Tyler Forner, of - Not assigned to a roster. Probably starting in the AZL later this month.
Bret Auerbach, c - Playing in San Jose as a utility player. He's seen time at catcher (7 games), 2nd base (7 games), 3rd base (2 games) and left field (3 games). Overall, he's hitting .279/.424/.412 in 68 at-bats.
Robert Emery, c - Started out in San Jose but recently moved to Eugene, he's hit well in very limited appearances, .304/.385/.696 in 23 at-bats. His numbers are about the same with each team. He's played 3 games at 1st and 2 at catcher for San Jose and DHed twice for Eugene.
Ty Weber, rp - Has spent most of 2021 with San Jose but pitched in 1 game with Sacramento (4 innings, 3 hits, 1 walk, 3 Ks, no runs). With San Jose, he's given up a lot of hits (18 in 14.2 innings pitched) but has issued only 1 walk and has struck out 15, with no home runs allowed and has a 2.45 ERA, all in relief.
Wil Jensen, sp - In two relief appearances and 5 starts, Jensen has posted a 3.28 ERA, 1.135 WHIP and struck out 12.4 batters per 9.
Haydn King, rp - Didn't make San Jose's Opening Day roster but the lefthander was recently added to the team and has pitched in relief in 3 games. He has put up a 1.80 ERA, 1.000 WHIP and struck out 6 in 5 innings pitched.

Weekly Team Performance (6/4-6/10 KFRC!)

(A) San Jose: went 4-2 last week. San Jose scored their opponents 38-36 in the six games. The worst loss was a 14-5 stinker. Jensen threw six strong innings, Alexander improved to 3-0 from the pen and was unscored upon. Canario's bat is warming up, but the whole team is beginning to hit well.

(A+) Eugene: The Emeralds cooled off a bit and went 2-4 last week, losing three straight to Everett. They were outscored by their opponents by 33-42 in the six games. The bats are warming up, and the pitching has eroded a bit. Diego Rincones continues to rake.

(AA) Richmond: went 5-1 in the last week, with one game postponed which was made up as part of a double header. Richmond outscored their opponents 27-18 over the six games. Toplikar threw six scoreless/walkless innings with 5 K's. Caleb Kilian threw 7 innings and gave up 2 runs in his second AA game. Williams (1.31) and Rubio (0.00) had stellar weeks, capped with a combined 1-0 shutout last night. Hjelle threw 6 innings and gave up only 1 run, NO WALKS, and 7 K's, lowering his ERA to 3.49.

(AAA) Sacramento: went 4-2 in the last week, outscoring their opponents 51-40 in those six games. The bats are doing well, but the pitching has been awful. They won 10-6, 12-11, 4-3 and 15-7. Matt Frisbee won his first AAA start, giving up 3 earned runs in 5 innings in the 12-11 game. Beede had two less than stellar games, 6.2 innings, 10 hits, 9 earned runs, 5 walks, 8 K's, 3 homers. Braden Bishop has been hot (.407), Bart came back hot (.356), Jaylen Davis played his first game last night.

Hello San Francisco Giants Fans,

Since 2014, we—the students and professors of the Know Rivalry Project—have been studying rivalry in the MLB. We now want to start the rivalry discussion on this subreddit. Please help us update and expand our results to ensure that the San Francisco Giants are included by taking 9 minutes to complete our newest survey:

https://umassamherst.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3FdJ8eN2EgFCfCB?mbsrc=krdir&grpID=1368

Our previous results have been featured in numerous sports media outlets, as well as the Wall Street Journal and New York Times. You can view those results, links to media coverage, and learn more about us at our KnowRivalry.com website, however we'd prefer you didn't until you completed the survey via the link above... we don't want to influence your opinions provided in the survey.

We use the Qualtrics online survey software for data collection. This academic research has been approved by two US universities' Institutional Review Boards (IRB) and it poses zero risks to respondents. You'll find further information on the disclosure agreement that is required to start the survey. Thank you for helping us to include the San Francisco Giants by participating and please share this with any other fans that may also help.

"The most intense rivalries are the ones that see each other as a rival, which is reflected in the study by high aggregated reciprocal point allocations. For example, the Red Sox versus Yankees rivalry received 143 points, with Red Sox fans allocating 81 (out of 100) rivalry points to the Yankees, whose fans assigned almost 62 points to the Red Sox; this total ranked the rivalry as the second-most intense rivalry in the study.

The most intense MLB rivalry according to the fans’ aggregated points was the San Francisco Giants versus the Los Angeles Dodgers (85 + 68 = 153 points). "

Well, duh!

The rivalries that stand out in the MLB to me are Giants vs Bodgers, Red Sox vs Yankees, and to a lesser degree Cubs vs Cardinals.

Those are the big three for sure. Mets/Philth isn't quite in that league and Yanks/Rays is too recent.

Would anyone have guessed, two months into the minor league season, that the best hitter on the Flying Squirrels would be Frankie Tostado? I thought he had one foot out of the org and may get released in the crunch of teams being eliminated (little did I know that rosters would be expanded everywhere). However, he's hitting .286/.326/.470 (168 ABs) as the team's regular 1st baseman. Right behind him is David Villar, the starting 3rd baseman. He's slashing .241/.335/.459 in 170 ABs.
There are no other hitters even close to the two of them. The 3rd best has an OPS 35 points lower than Villar. And guess what, that isn't uber prospect Heliot Ramos. He's the 6th best hitter by OPS.

Ramos had a very rough June, after a really smoking hot April-May. Hope he recovers a bit from here on.

Frankie Tostado sounds more like a minor league mascot nickname than a ballplayer...
