How many weeks do you give him before he's moved up to Richmond? None of the three catchers there are hitting a lick.
Other players will have none say is his progression. If he needs to move up, he will move up. 8f he needs to stay, he will stay. Everyone else will just have deal.

I think he stays there the majority of the time, if not the rest of the season. There's about 13 weeks left in the MiLB season, I'd put it at like 9.5.

I do think it makes the decision easier if there aren't any legitimate prospects at AA and Bart continues to excel both offensively and defensively. Two of the three catchers were minor league free agents and the 3rd is Matt Winn. I had hoped that Winn would get a shot as the starting catcher there but I think he is actually third on the depth charts.

Posey is the only catcher in the system who could have even the slightest influence on how Bart progresses. Simple as that.

Blake Rivera tonight:

6.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 10 K, 2 BB

He's definitely being overlooked right now.
Only so many spots in the San Jose rotation right now. I'm hoping Gavin and Phillips can start pitching better there and push for spots in Richmond.

Flying Squirrels lost a tough one today, losing 5-4 in 10 innings with the winning run scoring on a steal of home.

Fargas stole 4 bases (now has 21) and threw out a runner at 2nd. Dude can run and has an arm. He has 5 OF assists (4 from CF, 1 from RF). Can't hit though.

Conner Menez has moved up to AAA after crushing AA this year. He had a 2.72 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and was averaging 10.56 K's per 9 innings.

Menez switched something up between 2017 and 2018. He was a low strikeout, low groundball guy (a worrisome combination) in his first two pro seasons, but then in 2018 he became a K machine. His 14.1% Swinging Strike% is the 4th highest in AA.

Now he's on the doorstep of the big leagues, and you have to think that he could get a few starts this year.
