Monday, 7:10 p.m.: Clayton Kershaw vs. Jon Gray (SportsNet LA)
Tuesday, 7:10 p.m.: Brett Anderson vs. LHP Chris Rusin (SportsNet LA)
Wednesday, 7:10 p.m.: Alex Wood vs. LHP Jorge De La Rosa (SportsNet LA)
Darwin Barney was traded to the Blue Jays last week for this guy:
He's not really someone to get excited for, as far as future big league contributions go. However, he is exciting for the reason listed above (plus-plus facial hair ability) and the fact that he's one of the best players in the Australian leagues. He's a perennial All-Star down under, and he's been awarded their equivalent to the MVP.
But yea, he's going on 28 and his ceiling appears to be AAA catcher. Why did the Dodgers add him? Well, even minor league teams need depth and he was basically free. Austin Barnes is a strong candidate for being the other half of the 2016 Dodgers' catching tandem, so someone is going to need to be catching for OKC.
