Wilson and League might not be going any place, but Correia and Hernandez could limit their use in the same situations.

We sucked cock in this series, we need to bring up Alex & Joc, once the roster expanse.

This team still has a shot at best record in MLB, leads by three and a half and faces some weak teams ahead. With that said, bad hammy or not, we took a massive Juan Uribe deuce on the field yesterday. One of those Juan Uribe deuces where they clear out the clubhouse 30 minutes before BP. Anyway, this team is completely unpredictable. In light of aging players breaking down (Beckett) and others shitting the bed on the reg (Haren), when Greinke or Kershaw lose this team is virtually fucked. Essentially, the margin for error is so slight.

I'm all for brining up Joc and Cory just to see their mettle. But the back end if the rotation, bullpen and defense are realities that need to shore up. I don't think they can in time, but I've felt that way all year. What is impressive is this team is in first place despite being 0-47 after 7 innings. A very gutless stat.

I saw that Hanley was taking reps at 3rd base, might help us out until Uribe is healthy. Barney/Turner/Rojas are good but they don't make the pitcher worry like Hanley + Uribe does. Uribe and Hanley provide more protection for the rest of the lineup.

Only because Uribe has such a great glove at 3rd does that mean Han Ram can play short. What I find funny is that Han Ram bitches about not playing shortstop all the while he sucks (note he ruined Kershaw's perfect game). In a contract year, I'm sure he will act as a "team player" and move to third in Uribe's absence.

The Dodgers should be okay. Losing three games to the Brewers does not a season make. This is a very good team that is perfectly capable of winning the WS.

A good team and not capable of wining a WS in my opinion. Two many glaring weaknesses.

Well, in his defense, he hasn't bitched about SS since FLA if I'm not mistaken. I didn't hear any complaints from him on taking reps at 3rd. Honestly, it would be best for the Dodgers if Hanley was converted into a 3rd baseman, since we have Guerrero in the minors and Gordon improving at 2nd base by the day.

Hanley's defense has been less than stellar this year, there's just been too many minor, nagging injuries again for him. Hanley's the type of player who's among the best when he's hot, but he's got to see the field in order to get hot. If Hanley doesn't hit that hot streak like I'm expecting, then I doubt he gets a very good contract from the Dodgers.

I agree with Sillas though, I believe this team is fully capable, you have to take the 20 some odd games the Dodgers played in a row. I'm sure they were tired as hell after the MIL series.

Perhaps fatigue is an issue, the team is not young. The Dodgers could very well make some serious noise in the postseason. Take no offense to my honest, gut instinct. I'm the guy who thought Ryan Leaf was going to be the next Johnny Unitas - so what do I know? I just don't feel this team has a rally in them, no dependable mid relief and bad fielding is really exacerbated in the playoffs. I like our starting three - but remember last year when we had to go to a 4th starter against the Cards, Ricky Nolasco. That was a fucking disaster. And rest assured the Brewers, Cards, Nats, Giants would feast on Haren, Beckett (who is probably done) or Corriea (sp?). Maybe Roberto Hernandez gives us some depth, but he's not an upgrade from Rickey Nolasco in my opinion. And couple this with the fact that Ryu, Kershaw and even Greinke like their rest - especially Ryu. Last year, Kershaw ran out of gas and got shelled by the Cards.

And this team is not hitting over it's last 30+ games having the third lowest RPG in the majors over that stint. Certainly fatigue is an issue. But if this team is not hitting and taking a lead, the margin of error is so slight. There is a reason Colletti is scrambling for pitching depth, he knows this team is relying on it's big three way too much.

As for Han Ram, I agree, third base should be his home. But isn't Uribe locked in for another year? I say let Alex or Corey battle for SS. Use the Han Ram money to secure a solid 4th starter.

No offense taken, your points are valid for discussion. I've always felt that we would have won against the Cards if Hanley had not broken his rib, he was batting .500 leading up to that point. I don't think pitching was the problem against the Cards. If we're missing Hanley and Uribe then Kemp has to consistently hit, Kemp's bat is a luxury we didn't have last year and could make a difference.

Perhaps Kemp will make the lineup more competitive. He carried us for a stretch not too long ago. But the plate discipline and production is so erratic (note the Dodgers meager run production over the last 30+ games). I fear good teams will exploit the Dodgers erratic batting line up.

With that said, I agree with you that the Dodgers go 7 games against the Cards (at the very least) if they have a healthy Ham Ram - I don't know if they win in 7 because the starting staff was on fumes. I am convinced that was a purpose pitch to set the tone for the series and an added bonus that it essentially neutralized Han Ram for the series. Kind of a slow bleed series after that and I'll despise Mattingly for not plunking a Cardinal in immediate retaliation. Could have set the tone for the series, IMO. Instead the Dodgers were meek.

I'm not sure if Kershaw needed to go on 3 days rest against Atlanta, Atlanta's a high SO team, those type of teams don't seem to do very well against the Dodgers. Arizona was also a high strikeout team and as we all know we were celebrating in their pool by the end of the season. I know Kershaw wants to pitch every game but we needed him more against the Cards.

Great point.... again, Mattingly is a halfwit.

Milwaukee Ks quite (free swingers) a bit and they just gave us the business "Juan Uribe off season style at his favorite latin american brothel." Can anyone confirm or deny reports that Juan Uribe pulled his latest hammy taking a crap mid inning?

I have been known to doubt Donnie, Crawford and Hanley carried the offense last postseason.
