Wright has had moments against weaker competition. I think there is value in him chewing up meaningless innings.

Ned failed in the off season with this bullpen. Nobody is going to trade their effective, cheap, short contract mid relief pitchers at the deadline. Not worth it from economic standpoint even if your team is out of it.

Today The Dodgers had 3 hits and a stolen base one inning and scored 1 run. Worst team with bases loaded too. Never have come back from the 7th on. Never have big innings. Always screw up with men on base. Dodgers should of scored so many more runs this year. Dodgers have the best lead off man in baseball with tons of stolen bases. He scores too! So that tells you the rest of the guys besides Gonzo stink with men on base. The Bullpen sucks too. I do like the pick ups the Dodgers have added. Hope Dodgers can get it together for the playoffs. Maybe Correia and Hernandez can take Wilson and Leagues place down the stretch when everyone gets healthy.

However, the stats tell a different story. The dodgers are 4th in MLB batting average with RISP. Fifth in MLB in RBIs and runs with RISP. Where the numbers get interesting is this team full of superstars cannot score runs unless guys like Dee and Puig are setting he table. The offense only works one way. The Dodgers are 25th in home runs. 11th in total runs scored. So if the table is not set, this team is anemic at the plate.

So when Dee and Puig are clicking, the offense does it's job. But when those guys are fighting it, the team really struggles. And yes, the team is DFL with the bases loaded in most categories.

And I agree, that the 7th inning stat is telling on all kinds of levels. This team plays with a lead well because of starting pitching. How go the starting pitching how go this team.
