His market will be gone if true. Why not offer a 1 year deal with incentives or 1 year deal with a team option for a 2nd year. I had always thought guaranteeing him more then a year was dangerous. But with no risk on the teams end you gotta try for it

The fact that Kuma costs a draft pick too makes it even less likely another team signs him

This all sounds like a reunion which I find would be a great addition. If you team him up with Paxton as the china doll duo we would have solid depth at the SP position.
