I don't care much for diabetes, so I don't drink any soda with sugar/corn syrup.
I'll have a diet soda once in awhile, but even sugar substitutes do funky things to your blood sugar, as well as cravings for real sugar, which I try to avoid altogether, really.
I drink a lot of this stuff, though.
I work for a company that my daughter used to call "Petsi" when she was little. I drink soda everyday but have lessened my intake more and more.
Word to the wise; diet sodas are actually worse for you than non diet. Food for thought.
Look up aspartame.Given that I'm Type 1 diabetic, I will take that bet
Look up aspartame.
My original comment was clearly meant for the average Joe Blow not people who suffer from diabetes.I have a sodastream, so not aspartame.
But even if i didn't, are you seriously still trying to suggest that drinking regular soda would be better for my health than drinking diet soda with aspartame? You understand what Type 1 diabetes is and what it does to you, right?

Sure. And I made a light-hearted comment that I thought fully recognized that, and yet it was met with what sure seemed like further resistance and disagreement.
For me there are just a couple sodas I will drink when I do have a soda.

We have Mexican Coke in bottles up here year round. Also made with cane sugar instead of HFCS. I get a couple a year as a treat. So good. When Passover comes around, look for the big bottles of Coke with the yellow caps.
For Passover, Coke makes some batches with pure cane sugar. That shit is delicious.

(actually, i just looked into it, and it turns out that some facilities that bottle it use HFCS instead of sugar. DUMB)
Are you using the regular canisters they sell?
I dumped mine years ago. On ebay they sell a custom valve and tube that connects to a 20lb CO2 tank.
3 bottles a day, the tank should last a good 8 months
