No, keep spewing your crap. I've already accepted the fact we are going to be bad for years to come. I have no say whether we keep Ware or not and neither do you. I don't like this situation at all, but it is reality. It will just keep us from rebuilding and adding pieces we desperately need to do. Its not my fault you can handle reality and want to give Ware $12 million a year for $3 million in yearly production, if that.

You just can't accept the fact that a Cowboy fan like me thinks we would be a lot better off without him. I'm never going to change my mind. If you can't deal with my opinion on Ware, then ignore me. And I don't name calling, taking pop shots at other poster's that don't agree with you is logic. And to take it a step farther, there is nothing logical in Jerry land the past 17 years anyway. Were not talking baseball in this thread so I'm not engaging in regards to Williams. Great, you all think Ware is a hall of famer. Stat wise, yes he is. But like I said before, he and Witten will be the only Cowboy hall of famer's without a ring.
In regards to my debate with east, well, I wasn't disagreeing with him that Switzer was a better coach than Garrett. My point was, even though I enjoyed winning Super bowl XXX as much as any of you, it was a bad thing for the Cowboys. Jerry had a huge ego to begin with. After the way he ran Jimmy out of town and brought in Switzer, his head swelled up like a hot air balloon and proved in his mind he could win without Jimmy and always do it his way. And we have enough proof today on how that turned out.
And just so there is no misunderstanding where I stand on today's situation. Well, lets just say if I owned the team today, I would clean house right now and take my lumps now and do a total rebuild. And yes, I would get rid of Ware, Romo, Witten, Austin, Spencer, Hatcher, dez and most of the defense. Actually the only players I would keep to be perfectly honest with you all is; Smith, Frederick, Murray, Williams, Carr, Claiborne, Selvie and our kicker. Then as an owner I would pull a "GODFATHER" on Sean Peyton and make him an offer he couldn't refuse to become head coach and bring in his own coaches to run the team. I would sit back and in 3 years we would be in great shape to make some runs and go deep in the playoffs.
But you guys want to keep most of these guys, give them more money and hopefully we can fill some holes and add pieces with little or no money. Sometimes I really wonder if some of you really watched the late 60's, 70's and early 80 Cowboys. What we did, how we did it, etc., etc., compared to what we have now and the last 17 years.
One man was in charge for 29 years. Why is our legendary coach and his model for success being so ignored today. There is a reason why we became America's Team before Jerry came along. Now we are the mediocre laughing stalk of the NFL.

OK let's take Williams out of the equation. I can see how baseball is more of an individual sport. Did Marino suck? He was never on SB winning team.
