The consensus among NHL management types/agents here this morning is that there will definitely be a resolution to the lockout, and soon.

keeps the audience engaged otherwise we are going away and that does nobody good. so they create this. I believe it this time however and I dont care that it is going to be done. in fact Im dissapointed I was really looking forward to NO hockey at all this year. I wanted the league and players to have those losses 100% they dont deserve our money OUR money. OURS. OUR OWN........... Our Precious

Sadly, as much as I want to see the people out of work because of this back on the job, I don't see it. At least not yet.

I still think that Fehr believes that Bettman won't have the stones to cancel another season and he just keeps moving the goalposts hoping to get the best deal for the players. At this point, it's about minimizing losses (I don't see how any side can claim victory in this process).

so they are meeting today in a secret location with NO media allowed. isnt that funny that they had every main media outlet last week in New York and put on such a show? that whole fucking thing was staged. the walk outs. the moderates, the anger. its all a show. the whole lockout is a show its staged. its nothing to do with getting a deal done. the NHL wanted to hold back until this time. I wouldnt doubt at all they get a deal done in the next 2 days. they have saved their money and got their concessions (ones Im very sure that could have been done in the off season)

Ill never look upon the NHL the same again.

Matty its all about saving face. Buttmen and Ferh do not want to look weak so they will do this in private and come out and say how great it is to finally reach a agreement once both sides made the choice to really work hard to bring this to a end.
