Stance: Goofy
I think the only way that Bettman will not be golden in the owners eyes is if fans stay away and revenues take a huge dive. That's all that matters, don't go to games, watch games on tv (free tv, no NHL Center Ice), and don't buy NHL merchandise. That's the only way to send a message.
Even if people did band together to boycott live games... They'd counter by lowering ticket prices or some shit and people would flock there like nothing ever happened. No willpower.
Would be awesome, but in cities that always sell out, the ones who can't get the tickets otherwise will snap them up.
In cities like mine, they will give tickets out with promotions and announce increased attendance.
I used to get tickets to Orioles games a few years ago whenever I filled up my tank.
Actually, since a large portion of tickets are bought by corporations in blocks anyway...
There is no way for the die hard fans to send a message. We don't matter.
