Some teams can do it if the back end of their schedule is favorable. For instance GB has a quite a weak schedule the rest of the way, but I didn't realize the tough road games the Panthers have remaining.

#1 - 8-8 is not winning that division. 9-7 most likely even isn't.

#2 - That offense is not clicking versus any defense worth a damn

#3 - Their secondary is a fuckin mess.

If they won out, they still wouldn't stand at a chance at the division. A wild card spot would not be totally impossible, but still unlikely.

Atlanta still has 2 home games vs NO, SF and a road game VS STL. That's realistically a minimum of 2 wins so even if they lose to KC at home and at Carolina the Panthers would have to win out and even then I don't think they'd win the division due to tiebreakers but not sure on that. Realistically Carolina needs to win out and hope for a wild card

I have a feeling there is gonna be a massive Kam to Cam collision Sunday night. No way Panthers make the playoffs. Funny thing is, they'll still win just enough games to not get a top ten pick and still finish last in the division

I made this thread because they are hard to figure out. Their defense is trash, yet they have had some dominating wins. They also are the defending NFC champs and still have a great QB. I can't count them out until they are mathematically eliminated.

4-1 won't get it, 8-8 is not getting in, but if they run the table....maybe, but obviously would need help. At 9-7 I think it would come down to tie-breakers assuming ATL falters to 9-7. If ATL beats NO they would probably still win it on DIV record tie breaker.

IDT their DEF is trash, but definitely took a step backwards this yr. I thought Ealy was ready to take over and be a legit edge rusher, 2 sacks. Short has not been the dominate force he was LY, the CBs are young and not very good yet.

Trash you throw out...they need to find an edge rusher, CBs come back with a year of experience, they can be a playoff team again next yr.

I agree no shot. Cam can certainly play better, 13td/8int but sacked 27 times, missing their main RB a lot..not being able to get their DEF off the field at critical times has killed them...I think they've been on the wrong end of FGs to close out games 3 times.
