Cowboy fans can talk about Weeden and Dez all they want but the team lost yesterday because Atlanta shredded the D that was supposed to be castly improved. Now granted Atlanta is probably going to do that to a lot of teams this year if they stay healthy BUT Weeden isnt the reason you guys lost that game. If the O for Dallas plays like that the next 6 weeks youll win at least a few more. If you can just be 4-5/5-4 when the guys get back youll be fine. Aint nobody in the NFCE winning more than 9 games this year

Who said the defense was improved in week 1-4? Our defense doesn't improve until Gregory, McClain, and Hardy get back. Until then Lee may make us slightly better, but still missing our end rush and 2nd starting LB.

Im not actually sure the OP was all that unreasonable. The Cowboys dont have the easiest schedule weeks 3-9 and the better teams they play are at home. Usually thatd be a good thing but in most of those games the team will be overmatched from a talent perspective without Romo/Dez ( Atlanta, NE, Seattle, Philly ). The Boys do get NO, TB and NYG on the road but it would almost have been better if the schedules had been flipped. Road wins are never easy ( despite what Dallas did last year ). I DO think Dallas finds a way to win at least 2 of the games but its not like theyll be prohibitive favorites in any of the next 6 games and theyll probably be dogs in all but 1? of them

I would love for the Boyz to play the Falcons in the playoffs......

I'm a big Cowboys fan, but I have little hope with Weeden quarterbacking the team.

If he actually leads the team to a win, i.e. checks out of a bad play and hits the pass, does not throw a stupid INT at the worst possible time, etc., I'll eat my hat.

Do you realize the run game and defensive melt down has a whole hell of a lot more to do with the loss than Weeden. Think about it four passes not caught, two were bad the int and a high one to Witten, the other two passes were perfectly thrown to Williams who simply didn't catch them. Not releaving Weeden of all the blame, but 28 points should get you a win or two.

Appears Vegas feels the same way about the Romoless and Dezless Cowboy team going into New Orleans. I guess the top 5 OL and top 5-10 Defense that "some" cowboy fans are bragging about, doesn't worry the wise guys too much.

Think about it four passes not caught, two were bad the int and a high one to Witten, the other two passes were perfectly thrown to Williams who simply didn't catch them. Not releaving Weeden of all the blame, but 28 points should get you a win or two.

Weeden may not be the best backup QB in the NFL but neither is Cassell. The Cowboys will need to rely on their running game and defense to win games until Romo returns.

Yeah Vegas is really messed up on the Saints team so far this year.

Idiotically had them as huge favorites against the Tampa in week 2 and then had them as too big of dogs heading into the Carolina game. And heading into the opener against the Cards it was a pretty even line.

Evidently the word hasn't made it to Vegas that New Orleans is a dumpster fire this year. An even line against the Cowboys is silly especially with Brees not guaranteed to be active for the game and even if he is might not be that good.

Most backups are backups just for that reason. Backups are either young unknown question marks, or vets not quite good enough to be full time starters.

Kind of went the way I thought it would, and that Cowboy defense? Wow, I think they have a few holes. Better talent at the skill positions usually means a W in NFL games.
