Bo Jackson had a 10.39 PR at around 225, Walker a 10.23 also around 225, Marcus Dupree a 9.5 yards at 230.

We saw the classic today, the footballer right there in the mix then with about 20 to go, what happened?

Well, it was rather anticlimactic.

DK did well enough considering. A good start, and he kicked decent but the extra or so 60-70 lbs he had on the field average became apparent at about the halfway point as the track guys pulled a little ahead.

Finished at 10.36. Winner was 10.19.

Now enough of this nonsense and get back to practicing football DK!

I don't think weight is that much of an issue. He's also got a lot of inches on the field as far as height goes. Bolt ran at 200lb+. DK cuts down the muscle building and he's probably ~210. I could see him stripping of 2/10ths of a second by tuning his body and working on his form. Not that I think he should do any of this because he's obviously not a world class sprinter but it is quite impressive he didn't finish dead last.

Well actually he did finish dead last, which was never the question. There was noboby there he was going to beat.

His time the only mystery. He ran faster than anyone expected. Yes the bulk a big issue at 100m.

my point is he bulks up for football. just having a larger frame doesn't automatically disqualify you from track. Like I said, Bolt isn't a small guy. the guy ran the fastest time ever at over 200 lbs.

Looking at Metcalf's frame, I'd think he has to try to keep the weight off.

I don't understand what you mean. If he doesn't watch out he's going to gain another 20 lbs. of muscle mass?

During the off season I'm betting it's not eat eat to keep his weight up but he has to watch it to keep the weight down. And when he retires....250.

So now I;m reading stuff like....

Football player vs real speed......and stuff similiar, talk about some dummies, sheesh!

20 Olympic sprinters have played pro football. Tons of world class sprinters in NFL uniforms over the years.

Rookies, sheesh!

Metcalf would have came in last in an NFL 100m.

Impressed by the video of it. All we've heard for a week now from the only track fan on Earth is how he had no business on the track.

DK was right there with the pack. Sure he finished last, but he wasn't embarrassed by any means.

And, he didn't get hurt, so who cares if he wanted to try his luck?

He finished 15th of 17 in the round. So not dead last.

Dude, ever heard of Track & Field News? Google....Track & Field....time for a learning session.

All fast footballers will be in the pack I talked about that, the huge difference......speed endurance....track sprinters have it, football players don't.

1. No, I watch interesting sports.

2. Again, who cares? Did anyone say they expected him to win? Why are you so upset about this?

Metcalf isn't close to being one of the NFL's fastest guys, and now it's.....footballers thinking they can run with track guys, what a joke.

Don't like that,

Dead last in his heat. What was the wind reading in that other heat?
About the same as far as I know. The heats were only about 10 minutes apart. See if you can find out.

He still beat 2 times in the round. Give the kid some props where it is due.

10.38
10.44

With a + 0.3

Metcalf had a +1.0

So he barely ran faster than that 10.38, yep, the 10.44 didn't belong there. A lane filler.

I mentioned how shocked I was he ran that fast, but.......he did football no favors.

By now you have seen this mentioned on the NFL Network, will be mentioned tomorrow on the talk shows. Think what would happen if Bob Hayes could have done this in his day, yep, the fastest man in the world a Cowboys wide receiver.

Four NFLers on that USA 4x1 team.

Buddy Baker would disagree. Your trolling is weak.
