Currently or all time? if you don't think DK is among the fastest WRs right now you're high.
Obviously talking all time, we don't have 100 starting WR in 2021.

Then what's the point of your statement? He won't be running against the fastest guy in 1992.
He;s running against sprinters not other football players. He might hang close for 50ish, maybe, then there they go.
Fine, but again you compared him to football players.
All in all, who the hell cares? If he gets hurt I'll care, but if he simply runs and loses, what's the big deal?
You don't just run a 100m, a 40....no problem. The 100m takes training or a guy can injure themselves. He is rolling the dice here and like you said.......for what, who cares?
And this guy doesn't strike you as someone who might train?
That is the last thing you want in a 100m.....bulk!!!! 228 pound sprinter, nay!
Works like this....
All fast football players can scoot a 40, actually hang with sprinters at that distance, then after around 50ish you will need.....speed endurance....that is the ability to maintain/sustain your topend that max velociity, this takes training, you don't just have it you have to build it. After around 80ish meters now here comes that deceleration phase, those with superor speed endurance decellerate at a slower pace, which is a huge advantage. Football players have none of that, ah......since HS/NCAA track.
Ok, so he'll lose. So what? If he comes out unscathed it's a nonstory
Anytime any NFL player enters a track meet we have a story. Google....DK Metcalfe Olympics.....see if there is a story.
Google "cat with bread on its face"
Is that a story?
100 no...
200 yes...
Don't get me wrong, he has no chance but the 200 wound be a better event.
MF'r better not pull something!
