I think this team has a big set back if KC is dealt.

A setback would seem the most likely scenario. A big setback, well............the Skins weren't all that hellified with Cousins at QB. An argument can be made that the setback had already begun while he was the Skins QB.

All the guy has done has gotten better with each game, on average.

Not really, but I guess that depends on what you're using as a measurement. If its passing yards, sure, he's been the cat's meow. If its winning games though, not so much.

Kirk is the best QB we have had here in DC in 15-20 years. He would bring stability to the position and likely allow us to improve the rest of the team by getting off the QB carousel at least for the next 2-3 years or more. Is he going to carry a team, probably not. But he also isnt going to be the reason we lose games more often than not. Yes he needs help (mainly a GD Defense and a running game right now).

Searching for a guy who can CARRY the team is why we are in the situation we are in now. And continuing that search will likely make us worse before we get better.

And Im sorry dude, but most of the time when I see people who make it a point to highlight the negatives they see in a person, generally its because they dont like the person in question.

You have to critique KC at the highest point b/c you are going to make him your franchise QB. You are just looking at the stats and saying fine give him the long term deal b/c it looks good on paper. You are not looking at this red zone decision making, His clock managing skills, his ability to change plays at the line of scrimmage and recognizes coverages that his head coach called him out on, and turnovers in crucial situations. You are not looking at the whole ball of wax. I am. Of course I want stability at Qb. Who doesn't. This guy is not a slam dunk that is why the Redskins are cautious in this situation. Why cant you see that?

KC has put up historic redskins numbers and he even competes at the all time level

You always like to conveniently state that this was simply because of the late season losses to CAR and NYG (which were not simply the fault of Cousins).

You conveniently dismiss the tie against the Bengals & the late loss to the Lions. One was the result of missing a chip shot FG & the other was because of a horrible late game stand by the defense & an awful fumble by the RB near the goal line. If these results are different the Redskins are in the playoffs. Stop blaming the less than desired results strictly on Cousins.

Really?? Thats ALL you can ask for in todays NFL?? Funny but there were only two teams hoping to scrape into the playoffs by week 16, Us and the Lions. The other 11 teams that made the playoffs could have rested their starters by then. See Dean thats just it, you set the bar real low for every one BUT players you dont like. Nope, he doesnt get a free pass. He gets paid like the starter he is and we continue to build the team. You would have us go back into QB hell because you are so concerned about Dan Snyders money. But really its about you not liking Kirk. I think we all get that.
