Anyway, moral of the story, if you make a bet, and then feel the need to ask your online community if it's good, it probably isn't a good bet.

A one loss ND goes ahead of a one loss Clemson. Everyone here knows that's what would happen

It's possible, but not likely. If Clemson only has one loss it doesnt bode well for them either. Their schedule looked strong early, but not so good now. They could still get in bc I see this season being crazy, a lot of mixups.

Dream scenario for us message board debaters is to have an unbeaten B10 team, unbeaten B12 team, unbeaten P12 champ and then a 1 loss Bana, 1 loss ND, 1 loss ACC champ Clemson and 1 loss SEC champ Ole Miss. You KNOW Bama and ND would be ranked higher than Ole Miss and Clemson. What would the committee do?

Bama would be ahead of them. I have no doubt.

There's no way that 2 P5 conferences will get shut out for a 1 loss ND. ND made its bed when they decided to remain independent. Their only way to the playoff is to run the table or hope for complete chaos where at least 3 of the conference champions have 2 losses.

For sure but would the committee take them?

Well looking at SoS and who they lost to. I have no doubt they would take Bama, Notre Dame would be a close 2nd though.

I however dont see the bolded happening. Utah and Cal are the only unbeatens left and most likely they will both lose. I could see Clemson or FSU possibly going undefeated before them. But that makes it more interesting with a 1-loss PAC team...Stanford or Utah?

The committee will set a new precedent if they took a 1 loss Bama over a 1 loss Ole Miss that won the SEC. I think unless there's extenuating circumstances, conference champs will get the nod.

But Ole Miss won't run the table, so we won't have to worry about, so if Bama doesn't win the SEC, they'll have another loss and it'll be a non issue.

In the past 7 years ND is 2-5 in games following navy. A lot of teams seem to struggle in games following navy.

Just a totally different game, plan for Navy compares to anyone else. Honestly wouldn't shock me if Navy beat ND

A very difficult system to play against. And it often shows with teams struggling in games following navy. A lot of them lose or fail to cover

Yep a lot of teams run similar formations, have similar tendencies so you can game plan for a team and carry a lot of that same prep over to the next week thus limiting your prep time. Can't do that with Navy

I've made a decent amount of money betting games of teams that just faced navy
