Devils Vs. Panthers: Game 7 GDT

I started the last one, so I thought it was a good omen to start this one, for those of us that believe in that sort of thing.

ANYWAY, all there is to say from my end is, winner take all. This is what hockey is all about!

Devs game 7 , Rags game 7 , NFL Draft..gonna be a packed night in my house for sure.

Cant wait though its gonna be awesome..hopefully the ride continues.

yeah good job dabbs!

all the devils have to do is show up and play their game and they will win. easier said then done right? only giving the panthers 1 powerplay yesterday was huge! and it was a borderline call at most. the closest ref to the play didnt even whistle it..it was the one at center ice? i never understood that if your the down low ref you control everything dots and lower. anythign above that and its the trailing refs call!

Hell no i like it! That said, we got this now that was their chance to bury us we will kick their ass in game 7 because they will crack under the pressure and we have just enough guys who have been there before (Marty, Sykora, Elias,Zubrus,Volchenkov) who have been on deep runs before and I believe have all won game 7's in their careers. Florida has a few but not more than us.

FTR if we do lose I will gladly accept negative rep for every poster cause I'm goin out on the limb and saying we're kickin their ass tomorrow.

I liked that we controlled play yesterday. If we actually show up and play smart Florida is not on our level. 2 things that need to improve from game 6 are, our in zone play (which has been our biggest weakness all season) and we can't have a PP like that 5 on 3. Could have buried them there instead we had arguably our worst PP of the season. D needs to play lockdown, no stupid pinches by Zids and Harrold.

Hmm, not sure if I love it or hate it. At least in theory, we'll know who our opponent will be if we advance, prior to our game ending.

Clarkson and Elias need to find their game again. They have been pretty invisible in this series. Our big guns have pitched in here and there, as well as the 4th line. Now we need those guys to get going.

Elias has 2 (would be 3 if it stayed as Zajac's goal) assists. So he's not completely invisible. I am wondering where Zubs and Clarky are however

Clarkson got thrown out on one draw henrqiue came in and won it. Why is clarkson taking draws?

It's almost to the point i want them to just drop down and tie everythig up on the draw

I still haven't figured out the Clarkson taking the draw thing either. And yes, faceoffs have been killing us. Our inability to win crucial faceoffs has made life exponentially more difficult.

I guess that's the logic, not sure how effective it is. And stats aside, a few of the guys mentioned, Elias, Clarkson the key culprits, haven't done enough of the little things in my opinion. Clarkson should be putting guys through the boards and crashing the net every chance he gets. Elias has been very careless with the puck, very uncharacteristic of him.

Zubs I've been ok with. He could certainly do more, but there are times where he locks himself and the puck up against the boards and doesn't move. It seems like nothing but that is just tiring out those defenders, so that you see more things like the defensive lapse on the OT goal.

I would have disagreed with you when I thought Elias had 4 (5) points in 6 games, thinking hes been his quite normal self. 2 (3) in six is ok. But 2 (yes I still want him to have that assist damn it!) in 6 and I'm willing to concede this debate.
