You can't have a gas can like Sanchez on your roster at this point. He would get lit up in A ball the way he is pitching. DFA today, he's got nothing left. Sucks to eat the cash, but we're eating regardless.

The Tigers finished the last three games of the road trip with 4 hits, 6 hits, 3 hits. We were fortunate that 3 of Saturday's hits were home runs. Hopefully, this was just road fatigue and the bats heat up again. Baltimore is a tough team.

I am not upset by either one. J Wilson .... Bad things are going to happen, I still trust him. Rodriguez ... should not be on the active roster (I would have put him on the DL with "tired arm" if I could) a couple of weeks rest might do him a world of good - he's no spring chicken.

I woulda went that route too. Easier to save face longterm.

Wilson in the ninth isn't going to change a damned thing. He just had a nice month. Now they'll have to go back, or go with Alex once JW has ran his course. And they didn't want to go with AW when they traded Soria and had no other option.

Is this 6/7 in career blown ninth inning saves now? He admitted nerves in the one that wasn't blown. Honesty is nice, but it's a bad sign when the guy admits feeling anything. Not a role for the faint of heart...

Tigers should have won the game in the 11th. Upton with one of the worst at-bats I've ever seen. 2 on, 1 out, first base open ... everyone in the building knows the pitcher is going to give him all junk and try to get him to fish. Sure enough -- 6 pitches, no fastballs, and 5 pitches missed the strike zone. Yet Upton manages to strike out anyway.
