There are high schools that are baseball academies down here that are on par with some mlb team's rookie ball teams.

Lots of baseball talent in Florida... Its amazing the level of high school baseball here.

Yeah, little different than up here.

Hell, we've had the cage open on Sunday's for awhile here. But practice doesn't officially start until next Tuesday.

Id imagine the season is under way down there. Major disadvantage for northern kids.

Yeah.. I think it started a couple weeks ago down here.

Kids train year round down here... There is a different level of interest and coaching down here. Kids down here train like kids up north train for basketball and football.

Just like the school UM is training at for football is a private school that is a football academy.. there are similiar schools in the state for baseball.. basically they are scholarship private schooling for elite baseball prospects.

The high schools put out a ton of talent.. but the colleges and universities down here all have great baseball teams.. the fucking community college in miami probably has a better baseball team than just about every univeristy in michigan... and that isn't an exaggeration. Miami Dade Community College puts out MLB talent on the regular.

All I heard is they are updating the training facilities.. not sure about seating.

It looked like a straight up and down building going up to me, not like grandstands. So it may well be new training facilities.

did you watch the game? the kid sucks in the field... he isn't good... I don't need to see anymore than that. He took horrible tracks to the ball... he isn't fast.. he has a average at best arm... He is no where in site of a top prospect list for the Tigers.. that isn't that hard to make if you intend on getting to the pro's... so yeah.. one play.. get him the fuck out of there.
