I will be at the Brewers/Diamondback game on March 21. The game has been moved from Salt River Field, the usual site for D'Backs spring games, to Chase Field. D'Backs front office staff figured they will need the extra seats that Chase Field provides to accommodate all the extra fans who will want to witness the play of future AS and ex-Tiger, Hernan Perez. I am hoping to arrive early and get good seats inside the D'Back bullpen. Being an ASU grad, former Navy Seal, AZ State Highway Patrol Officer, and owner of all six Jason's Deli locations in the Phoenix area.....I will be treated as the important person that I am. If anyone wants to beat me up, I'll be at my Deli location in Gilbert, AZ. (PS...my wife, who is from Uruguay, will be there as well.)

No pitchers that I expect to see come north threw today. Got to watch Jairo Labourt pitch two innings. He threw some serious heat. K'd two in his first inning, then had two walks and two wild pitches in his second inning. Pretty much what the scouting reports say he is.

And I talked to a guy in the parking lot who had Michigan plates on his van. He said, "My nephew is pitching tomorrow." Turns out he's Kyle Ryan's uncle.

His uncle is from the U.P. in Michigan. A snow bird... lives in Florida during the winter months.

I remember when he first came up and we were in Chicago. (We being the Tigers lol) a slew of his family came down from the UP for the game.

I want to say he went to high school with ArizonaSting or something. I forget how that conversation went though.

Love that kind of thing in spring training. It really levels the playing field down there. Great conversations to be had.

Could be if he learns how to lay off garbage pitches.. He has a lot of steven moya in him. I think Castellanos will be eventually moved to 1st base after VMart is gone if he starts to hit like he should.

Kyle Ryan went to high school about 15 minuts away from where the Tigers spring training facility in Lakeland. They drafted him out of high school... Their scouts literally had him fall into their laps.

They putting seats in right field? I haven't been down there in a few years now.

It'll be interesting to see what happens. Jones could be up later in the season once his drug suspension is over.

I doubt Jones is up this year unless there is an injury. He has never saw a pitch over AA.. and he isn't that great at pitch recognition to make that jump yet.
