It isn't that VMart doesn't have something left for this year. He may tear it up - but his groin, hamstrings, and other aging body parts are still there. And they will be there for 3 more years at $18mil a year. Everybody say..."Thanks Dave!"

The benefits of finishing Top 3 in the MVP voting at age 35. Ilitch agreed to Dave's deal, and pretty much stated that it was partly a "reward" for Victor's stand-out season. I don't think any other owner would have agreed to a 4-year deal, but V-mart WAS in demand that hot stove season.

I believe the odds on VMart hitting the DL are currently 2-5. Iglesias is going off at 1-9. (oops....Sorry - bets are not being taken on Iglesias any longer.....it being a sure thing and all)

He wasn't even going to be the full time CFer... More than likely Gose was getting the majority of the at bats. Gose had a .265/.330/.383/.713 line vs right handed pitchers... how many left handed starters are the Tigers going to see in the first 6 weeks? 4? 5? Seriously... You are a buffoon.

Also heard a guy who's kinda connected to the Tigers say today that Greene may beat out Norris for the #5 spot.

Unless they plan on using Schwarber behind the plate (not in left, where he is awful.)with Montero and Ross both on the bench, they have a surplus of outfielders. (Baez is working in center also.)

I don't think the cubs can trade him right now anyways. I think there is a time period after signing before he can be traded... I might be wrong... But I don't even think it's possible.
