Next year tigers bullpen will have guys like verhagen back and jimenez will probably make it at somepoint. I bet avila makes some minor trades using guys like moya or tyler collins to get low key bullpen help.... doubt we see both tyler collins and moya on the 40 man next year. I bet gose is gone too. That trade for gose looks horrible now... travis is a total stud... even though he was blocked by kinsler in detroit.

Only place i see tigers needing to invest $ is catcher... mccann is a backup at best... he is a total liability in the lineup. He makes avila look like babe ruth.

I am good with ausmus coming back... Tiger would have won the central if they could have just beat the indians... take away the head to head and the tigers had the better record. Mccann sucked at the plate hard and upton didn't show up until august... there is a lot of reason for optimism next season with the young arms. Plus fat boy rondon actually looked solid.

I agree... not a fan of rondon... but at least he isn't a dumpster fire anymore. He is a legit 8th inning guy at the worst.

Dombrowski actually did a solid with those trades last year... Tigers rotation is young and solid. Verlander still has gas in the tank and zimmerman most likely will be better after having time to heal. Having 3 under 25 starters with solid potential is something to build on. The team really isn't that old outside of frankie and victor.

I hope avila spends some $ on catcher and maybe flips moya and another minor leaguer for a low key bullpen upgrade... the team isn't in bad shape and easily could make a run next year as is.

I am a little worried though that the tigers have nothing what so ever as far as infielders in the minor leagues to put at the corners down the road... they need to get some high upside bats that can play third and first down there asap.

I agree with most of your statement except the Avila comparison. He is ass. With that said, get Matt Weiters.

Matt Weiters will be looking 3 years at $30+mil. Not interested. Spend the money on pitching...if they spend it at all.

I would go for Aroldis Chapman also. Then get some defensive CFer. Maybin is not a true Center Fielder and has a bitch's arm.

I would go for Aroldis Chapman also. Then get some defensive CFer. Maybin is not a true Center Fielder and has a bitch arm.

I don't see them spending big on relief pitching... even though it would be smart... to be honest I don't see them spending big on anything and only making minor tweaks.

Tigers spending will be on hold until next winter...just an opinion. They will have some contracts coming off the books and some holes to fill. Right now...patch holes and run with pretty much the same group of guys (and the young pitchers).

Ramos might be too expensive.

Ramos and weiters will probably be in the same price range.

They need to do something to address the worst defensive outfield in baseball giving away -35 runs. That cannot last unless all three guys are beyond mashing in the lineup.

I actually agree with this... outside of pelfrey and lowe... the rest of the roster is on solid ground. Mccann has room to improve with the bat... but its not a killer. Verhagen comes back next year and buck farmer probably ends up competing for bullpen spots... so i could see them running with what they have outside of a minor upgrade in the pen somewhere... i think moya will be traded for something.
