Rookie Michael Fulmer returned to form last Wednesday, giving up three runs on seven hits in 7 2/3 innings against the Red Sox. A start earlier, Fulmer allowed five runs (four earned) on six hits in five innings against the White Sox.

* Chris Sale goes for an AL-leading 15th win tonight after a rare loss Thursday against the Cubs. In fact, Sale has lost two of his last three starts, including an eight-run, 10-hit outing over five innings in a loss to the Atlanta Braves on July 8.

* The Tigers get back J.D. Martinez today, though it's unknown whether he'll play in right field. Martinez has been on the disabled list with an elbow fracture since June 15.

Oh I like JV just fine.....Don't like him in April though......But I think our best pitcher right now is Fulmer......He will probably hit a wall soon being young then JV will outshine him. JMO.

Fulmer peaked for the year at the beginning of last month imo.

JV is just rounding into form.

Both are big reasons why were 10 games over. Not a damn thing to complain about from either of em really.
