Back to .500. The same place they were sitting after the 8-game losing streak.

If they don't win (at least) 7 out of the next 10--it's time to fire Ausmus and start fresh after the break,

Me too, brother. This whole season is starting to slip away.

They can forget about catching the Royals--they're in a tooth-and-nail fight for the wild card.

They need to run off about 7 (or 8) out of 10.

I'm not one for totally blaming Ausmus for EVERYTHING, but it seems as if the team is tuning him out.. The pitching sucking is one of the major if not biggest reasons this team has a mediocre record and it probably doesn't matter who the manager is at that point.. Granted, I personally never liked Jeff Jones and never agreed with the Rick Knapp firing in the first place..

I personally would not want Gardenhire.. Maybe give Omar Vizquel a shot at this point and see what we have in him being a new potential manager..

We should sell Price, Cespedes and Davis.

Among others.

I'm really concerned DD is going to chase another playoff run and leave the Tigers unable to compete again before Cabrera starts to decline.

Either way, buyers or sellers, get Simon out of the rotation.

I think Omar is the easy hire if Ausmus gets axed.

But I don't think this teams problem is Brad. Bullpen still sucks, starting pitching is the worst it's been in years(seems like it anyway) double plays like crazy with little timely hitting.

Brad can't make Wilson and Soria pitch everyday.
