This team shouldve went with a 3 man rotation and sanchez and portabello in the pen when a starter gets tired. Shouldve tried something new with this BP.


Hate to say it but got back to preseason and i said this teams biggest problem would be the 8th inning. 2 bad 8th innings and our season is pretty much over. Same shit as last yr but worse. But no fielder to blame this yr. hmmmmm

Kind of strange that New Mexico hasn't even warmed up in either game. He's probably been the most consistantly not awful reliever this year.

He has been for awhile now. He was good early but has fell off. This was a must win game and they played it like it was game 102. Well i guess sanchez will get all the rest he needs now

Joba and Soria both just got pounded last night. Put ANYBODY else in. Put fuckin Romine in there.. I'm kidding, of course, but there are other guys in the pen.

He's signed for several more years. I don't want to see his career put in jeopardy over a divisional series. World Series, where he's had a chance to pitch a few times, sure ride him. But not today.


I really had no interest in seeing Soria. If he's not hurt, he's gutless.

Seriously -- look up the numbers, Brad. Joba Chamberlain has had something like a 5.00 ERA in the second half. That means he's pitched 3 months of decent baseball in the last 3+ years. The first half was a FLUKE. A 3rd grade dropout can see that.

I remember feeling this mad last yr after we blew the 5-1 lead to the sox in game 2. Still dont have an 8th inning guy. By the time we finally get one everyone will be old and the team will be mediocre at best. Thats all last yr and this yrs team needed. An 8th inning guy
