I've been numb to Avilas awfulness for almost two years. I hate it every time he's in the lineup but I've accepted the fact hes going to play no matter what. And we'll someday draft his oldest kid. Then he'll DH once a week in single A. (That's what Pat Leyland's been doing the last two seasons at West Michigan.)

I dont mind avila when theres a righty. Its when a lefty is in there that bothers me. He seems to get too many starts vs LHP. sort of like if raturd was used every once in awhile instead of 5-6 days a week and batting 2nd or 5th. Id take raturd over kelly any day for a bat off the bench. Jimmy just played him waaaaaay too much and out of position.

Don't confuse my DK love with thinking he's sweet. He's not. He's decent at four positions and bats lefthanded. There's nothing hes exceptional at. But hes smart, can draw a walk, is alwYs ready and expects mothing in return. Raburn though, he sucks. I think there's 237,846 guys who are better second baseman that never played Pony League.(Not a chance he's top four on my varsity team any of the four years. And that's me at five as a junior before I thought I was a power hitter. He fucking sucks.) He's an embarrassment in the infield. Not a bad fourth outfielder. He can run. Has a good arm, but..... has awful instincts, no depth perception and is the opposite of clutch. (Hello solo homer trailing by five!)

Avila has no biz being a #1 catcher. None. Never has. He may have been behind the plate for a no-hitter.... I DON'T CARE! A lot of unimpressive catchers have done the same. It's nepotism and its obvious. Will Rhymes was an equivalent MLB player, he spoke his mind.... Is out of baseball I believe. Lil' Al's Sasquatch dad is Junior GM, his kid still takes strike three once a game. No excuse. He can't hit and only plays backstop. He should be 25th man if a scrub middle reliever isn't. But his roster spot is secured. Drives me nuts. But there's no use bitching. He's our catcher till some team hires his pops. Maybe the Matiners will help us out again when Rods boy Jack Z gets canned!?! Idk.

Good god!! Bunt the runner over avila!! 2 AB's 2 K's vs the lefty. In ing ended quickly. Had a chance to raise lirianos pitch count higher. Play small ball. Bunt him over. Put pressure on the pitcher.

Glad to see JD tattoo one. Lets hope max can go deep. 78 pitches after 5 tho. Gonna need a few more runs.

Everybody raise their hand that just knew tori was swinging at first pitch with bases loaded. Then who else knew he would K. Lets hope leaving them loaded doesnt come back. Usually its the next inning when we blow a big chance. 8-9 innings will be interesting since max is over 100 pitches

Im looking forward to Torii Hunter not being in the Tigers outfield next year. Other than a plus arm, he straight up sucks! (Almost as much as this weak hitting lineup. Billy Martin won a game as Tigers manger 42 years ago today by drawing the lineup out of a hat. Ausmus might have started drinking too.)
