I am happy with bullpen help. Happy Given more 9th inning runs than any team in baseball. We had to do something.
Nice win and congrats to miggy for breaking out of that home run slump
Dude, you gotta tell me,..... How did you come to love the teams you love? It's an interesting mix.
I still favor a pitcher that throws strikes regardless if his junk gets hit......Nice Job Hardy, thats how Smyly stuck, he throws strikes.
We need a lefty other than Smyly that doesn't stink. Then this is a serious WS Contender.
That lineup yesterday was kinda cool....In an AL park you can add one more hitter....who? JD, Hunter and Nick C.....I guess Brad will keep going with the hot hand...lots to choose from....
You'll like Soria. Only 4 walks in 33.1 innings.
Hunter will be back out in the OF. He's SIZZLIN' hot in July. Kelly just gave him a day-game-after-night-game breather. Nick returns to 3B and V-mart back to DH.
where and when will JD fit in
Yep, Smyly will be in the 'pen come October, but one more reliable LHP would certainly help. Don't know if Hardy can be that guy.
Nothing against Hardy, (Or Ray if/when he comes back up. and if hes works out if the pen) but I was thinking of someone with more expierience. This move was a huge step in the right direction. Would just like to see one more.
I read where Ausmus stated Nathan is still the closer.....What's the over/under on how long that last? I say Sunday the change will be made for Soria.
Had high hopes early in the season. (Cleeves knows this: ). But hes been less than impressive since May. Still thinking he can be a decent piece of the pen down the road. (Im being optimistic there) But we can't be relying on just he and Coke as situational lefties.
